-How many classes are are there in a week?

-How many holidays do we get?

-What are the average class timings on a daily basis? What's the max class timing?

-When does the first sem end, and how much holiday do we get afterwards.

-How hard is it to maintain a good CGPA.

Hey, I got admission into Bangalore Institute of Technology and I'm a bit confused about the joining date.

I've asked the admission office multiple times when the first-year batch will start. They keep saying they'll inform us in our branch WhatsApp group 10-12 days in advance. But whenever I ask for an approximate date, they say it'll be in the 1st or 2nd week of August. At the same time, they also say it depends on COMEDK and KCET counselling, which I thought goes on till early September.

So I'm getting different answers every time.

Any seniors or anyone who knows how BIT usually handles this, when do first-year classes actually start? I need to book a flight from Patna to Bangalore, so it'd really help to know roughly when I should plan to come.

So I have 20k ish comedk rank, I think I could get ai/ml by 3rd or 4th round(or would I not get?). I wanted to know how different is it from cse(since it's a cse allied branch after all) and if the companies which come for cse students don't let ones in ai/ml sit for placements. If the academics are stricter, etc.

Rest mostly I know, right now BIT seems like the best option to me.

2)i saw campus was a lil ass but is it really that bad?
3)do the teachers teach only in kannada(im not well versed in kannada)

Need help. I may get comedk BIT AIMl/ISE branch in last round, probably BIT ECE in 3rd round. With KCEt looks like BIT EIE and UVCE Eee( only if luck favors in last round) or Mechanical UVCE. Since this year KCET counselling a head and with new rule we have to take seat or leave it. Very dilemma situation, kindly suggest how can I ensure I get best of option. Also what is the chance of branch change within BIT after first year?

i just want to make a choice based on the placements and academics. btw, what are the chances that i can get into hostel? my home is 1.25 hrs away from BIT, so is it worth travelling for at most 3 hrs, considering bangalore traffic? i got 10k rank in KCET, 16k in COMEDK. i might get BIT AI/ML, right?

1. Is the average placement in core cse really 9-10 lpa?, if it's possible can anyone share the placements sheet for this or the previous year without including off campus offers

2. Is the college autonomous or under vtu?

3. How strict is the attendance policy for cse students?

4. How are the clubs, I'm aware of no college life and no fests but are the clubs atleast active or somewhat reputable?, if bit has no clubs no fests mediocre syllabus then how does it have above average placements?

5. Is it possible to find a good peer group?

6. How difficult is it for a person to secure noc for internships if their attendance is low and it's not a reputable company?

7. how necessary are laptops in the first year, are students allowed to make notes on laptops in atleast the 2nd year or are laptops not allowed during classes entirely

8. uniform policy, is there uniform and is yes then how frequently are we supposed to wear it, or is there a strict dress code in place?
