These are my first mini's painted ever and I used slapchop, I'm happy to receive any feedback or input on these guys

I know this isn’t a Black Legion model, but I need some advice from the experts!

I’m trying to recreate a Black Legion-inspired colour scheme on this Kharadron Overlords model. So far I’m using black, red and gold, with some brass added as my own touch.

It’s still very much a work in progress, so I’d love to hear your thoughts. Would you add or remove anything from the colour palette?

I’ll work on the shading and edge highlights once I’ve settled on the main colours, so any advice before I go further would be greatly appreciated!

New to the hobby and had a question about what size brushes you guys use?

I used a 3/0 for almost everything on this Chosen model. Just taking my time and trying to make it look nice

Some test models for a shiny retro Black Legion army. I like to replicate the way I painted armies in the 90s- no shading, no highlights, just bold colours, paper banners and gloss varnish.

Man these guys take a long time to paint vs plain old space marines! I realised I hadn't actually finished the base on 2 of them after I took the pics XD
