Does this kind of sigil stuff work lot better against somebody already vulnerable or has atleast been prone to crisis points in their lives ? Like somone with BPD for example. If so why would that be ?

My ex and I are living together. I found out he was cheating on.me 6 months into the relationship and we have been together for almost 3 years. I did a sour jar a week ago, set it in a dark place and put it out of my mind so I could just let it do its thing. It did have some nasty ingredients added to it and my feelings were incredibly strong when casting .This morning the person it was intended for came into my mind very strong and I started feeling anxiety, like butterflies in my stomach but not from happy nervousness. Has anyone else had feelings like this, if so, could it be a good sign, or something else? A return to sender spell possibly?

Graveyard dirt is one of those ingredients that gets mentioned a lot in folk magic but I feel like not many people know the actual traditions behind how it was collected. It was not just "go grab some dirt from a cemetery." There was a whole system and honestly some of the details are fascinating.
In hoodoo and conjure traditions, you did not just collect graveyard dirt. You bought it. That was the actual term used. You were entering into a transaction with the spirit of the person buried there. The traditional payment since at least the 19th century was a silver dime, and the preferred coin was a Mercury dime. Some practitioners left three pennies instead, or a bottle of whiskey poured into the hole after digging. The idea was that you were hiring the spirit to work for you, and you do not ask someone to work without paying them.
Whose grave you collected from mattered enormously and this is the part I find really interesting. If you wanted help with a love spell, you would take dirt from the grave of someone who loved you in life, like a spouse or a family member, because their spirit would be inclined to help you find love. If you needed protection, dirt from a soldier's grave was preferred because they were seen as strong and obedient. If someone wanted to do harm, they would specifically seek out the grave of someone who "died badly," someone executed or murdered before their time, because that spirit would supposedly carry enough anger to be willing to do darker work.
Even where you dug on the grave itself had meaning. Dirt from the head of the grave carried different properties than dirt from the feet or over the heart. For love work, you would dig from over the heart. Some workers took dirt from the head, heart, and feet separately and left a Mercury dime in each hole.
There were also rules about the gatekeeper. Many practitioners would first pay respects to the spirit nearest the entrance of the cemetery, often considered the guardian of the entire graveyard. You would leave offerings there, things like bread, honey, or whiskey, before going deeper into the cemetery to do your work. Skipping this step was considered disrespectful and potentially dangerous.
This tradition goes beyond hoodoo too. In Northern European folk magic, the term "graveyard dirt" has referred to everything from actual cemetery soil to powdered valerian root to, in some older traditions, powdered bone. In Appalachian folk magic, graveyard work is considered the core of conjure. The whole point is that you are not just collecting an ingredient. You are establishing a relationship with the dead.
What strikes me about all of this is how transactional and respectful the system was. It was not treated as stealing or desecrating. It was commerce between the living and the dead, with very clear rules about consent, payment, and reciprocity.
Hi i do not know what this stuff is actually it has orange and red color threads intertwined together in total it has 15 knots i do not know what it is exactly i live alone and i found this i definitely am sure that this is related to black magic.
FYI i tried untying the knots but was unable to do so since the knots are really tiny and i cant untie them i used a set of pliers to remove the knots but in the process accidentally cutt of that part of the thread
if any of you here knows how to undo this stuff please let me know im really frightned by this i also did a bit of research its related to south asian and indian sub continent and they mostly use it to do black magic stuff

My Baneful spells WORK and I mean they work AMAZING but when I try to do love or communication spells I’m seeing no movement? It’s like I can only do black magic. I put the same amount of intention probably even more into my love/communication spells but I’m seeing NOTHING what’s wrong with me?
So, basically as the title suggests. I want to end someone’s marriage. They’ve been married for 20+ years. However, I’ve talked with him extensively and he was kind of forced into the marriage. Every time he’s asked for a divorce, she’s had a mental breakdown or threatened suicide. Which manipulated him to stay out of guilt. I also want to add that they’re from a different country, with all their family back in their home country.
I want them to divorce and for her to go back home! I’ve tried the marriage to hell hex from The Little Black Book Of Nasty Spells, and I am aware that spells take time. But, I wanting something with instant/faster results. He was my best friend and she had forbidden him from talking to me now. She’s pretty much isolated him to having no friends and only speaking to her.

Hi, my background is in sigil and chaos magick but I find myself wanting to try witchcraft and black magick. Is there a way to practise this kind of magick discretely? My situation is such that I couldn’t have material or paraphernalia lying around or do openly. I had a look at the recommended book section of this sub (thanks) and downloaded a few samples to get me going but anything specifically I can do in secret or hidden (which, yes, I know is the very definition of occult) would be preferred. Landlord assaulted me, I don’t have proof. I never reported bc I didn’t think I would be taken seriously and I didn’t want to be kicked out. Since then, he has been harassing me and adding on ridiculous fees on my rental portal. He’s not going to stop and I just want away from him. I found a place to stay with my fur children thank goddess. But, I’d like to leave a spell buried in the yard that will keep him from ever assaulting someone again, and also make his life and business fail miserably. All this black magic stuff always facinated me as India is an main hub of Tantra. But whenever I am looking at any spell or way. It requires all those crystals and candles and stuff.

I performed my first mind control spell with a skull candle and the herbs of control… I always let the candles finish burning, making everything safe. This time, however, I don't know how it happened (I wasn't there), but when I returned there was a lot of black smoke and the residue of the spell was completely charred! Nearby was an obsession box I had made a week ago. Unfortunately, part of the box also caught fire, causing a hole in it. Now, aside from the fact that I will have to redo the obsession box again… And I learned that fire safety is never enough. How do you interpret the fact that the residue is all charred? Do I have to redo the spell? The box and the spell were a layering for the same subject.
So I did a sour jar/spell jar for a toxic co-worker and for 7 days I’ve been lighting a black candle on top of the jar lid. On the 6th day, he suddenly made plans with the whole team to visit another co-worker’s house (they recently had a baby) and excluded only me.
Now I’m feeling shocked, confused, and honestly a little scared. Does this mean the sour jar backfired? Or can situations like this happen because the effect of the jar hasn’t started yet or is still building up?
