People acting like he need a cane or wheelchair to move around. Calisthenics and light lifting with cardio is easility mantainable & maybe with the help of TRT he can get back his muscle. I say a good 6 months of Training. I think Marvel might push for a 4th Movie.

Why is Blade Cursed?

Any piece of Blade media feels like it's stuck in a tug-of-war between getting made and getting canceled. At this point, nothing involving the Daywalker can ever seem to catch a break.

Blade game will likely get canceled

"Microsoft is reportedly considering canceling Marvel's Blade. The Arkane Lyon upcoming title has allegedly fallen significantly behind schedule, slipping from a late 2026 window to late 2027, and has also blown past its allocated budget."

Given what is being reported, it's hard to not think about mismanagement on the business side of the process. And it's bad because Arkane will not only need to justify the over spending, but will also need to convince the parties involved to inject more money.

I don't know how often situation like this occurs in the gaming industry, but in other business ventures this is precisely a situation any project manager would obviously like to avoid, unless you can justify it like in the case of a force majeure situation.

On top of that ever since, we all saw the trailer, Arkane didn't show much about the progress being made. I personally saw some artworks and storyboards, some announcements about people being hired to work on the project but no new footages or gameplay orientation. It looks like Arkane did Blade dirty.

Why the Executioner’s Sword is the most misunderstood, hyper-specialized blade design in history

Most people picture two-handed swords as agile weapons built to parry, thrust, and fight on a battlefield. But historical executioner swords (Richtschwerter) were completely different animals. They were pure, hyper-specialized industrial tools.
Because they were strictly designed for a static, unarmored target, their engineering completely throws out standard sword mechanics:
The Blunt Tip: There is absolutely no point. It’s entirely flat because thrusting capability was 100% useless for their job.
The Forward Balance: They throw out traditional distal tapering. The blades stay incredibly broad right up to the end to maximize downward kinetic energy and chopping power.
The Length: They are surprisingly short and wide compared to battlefield longswords because they didn't need to reach or out-range an opponent.
To the martial artists and collectors here: If you’ve ever handled a reproduction of a Richtschwert, how drastically different does that extreme forward weight distribution feel compared to a standard Type XVIIIb or battlefield longsword? How does it affect your recovery time on a swing?
Let's discuss the mechanics of these grim pieces of engineering.

XBox is considering shutting down Blade video game studio,Arkane.

I hope Sony buys Arkane and make Blade a PS5 exclusive and it becomes a huge success as middle finger to XBox management.

If Mahershala Ali Blade ever makes it on screen, I hope he makes it his own. I'm not tryna see his best Wesley Snipes impersonation.

Are you an expert in all things Blade? I'd love to talk to you

I'm working on a project delving deep into Blade series(everything in it, movies, games, comics, books, etc.) and I'd love to connect with someone who is knowledgeable about all things within it, read everything, knows the lore, informed about news, etc. Basically I'm looking for someone to bounce ideas off of, answer some questions, and fact check some sections of the project I'm working on.

*Posting my 20+ questions and fact checking paragraphs of info would get bulky in things like discord groups or reddit so highly prefer just talking to one person, happy to credit you, your website, or your socials in the final project as well as pay a bit depending on the help.

Thank you Reddit!

Decade of Blade

The fact we have 4 different incarnations with amazing designs in 4 different genres.

Midnight Suns 2022 - Tactical RPG

Marvel Rivals 2025 - Hero Shooter

Marvel Tokon 2026 - Fighting Game

Blade 2027 - Single Player Action Adventure

And yes the 2027 Blade game is still alive and coming. Todd Howard (Director of Bethsheda who are publishing the game) and Jeff Grubb (game journalist) have confirmed the game isnt dead. Todd actually said the game is looking really really good.
