I Quick update to my bloodaxes gorkanaut, a small add but a really nice one!
Joining da big WAAAAAAGH!!! On Armageddon wiv da Blood Axes.
Having bought the Ork half of Armageddon, I decided to go all in on our favourite Guard larpers; the Blood Axes. But when it came to painting I was a bit torn. Traditional camo seemed a bit too "boring" or "serious" for my Orks. On the other hand, the famous route of lots of bright clashing colours painted in camo patterns felt a bit too "unserious".
Neither felt all that appealing to me, so I looked at some real life camos used around the world to see if I could find anything unusual for inspiration, and found the leopard spot camos used in Zaire and Ghana, and I knew I had my answer. Leopard print to me feels like the perfect blend of sensible Blood Axe taktiks, and propa Orky flashiness
I know I need to find a lighter skin tone, but I was just so pleased by how well this turned out, I knew I had to share it with you sneeky gits.
