The 2026 Blue Jays just don’t care anymore.

After watching that 2025 squad battle through hell to reach the World Series, this year’s team feels like a completely different franchise—one that’s checked out and going through the motions. Remember the fire? The 2025 Blue Jays got punched in the mouth, down 0-2 in the ALCS to the Mariners, and responded like absolute dogs. They went on the road, dropped bombs, flipped the series, and then George Springer delivered that legendary Game 7 dagger to send us to the Fall Classic for the first time since ’93. That team had heart, swagger, and a killer mentality. They wanted it.

Now? It’s laziness, mental fragility, and zero urgency night after night. Runners in scoring position? They die there. Tough spot? Heads drop. Adversity hits and it looks like playoffs are an inconvenience instead of the goal. The fight, the will to grind, the championship culture we finally built last year… it’s evaporated. This isn’t just underperforming—it feels like they straight-up don’t care.

We went from “comeback kids” who refused to die to a team that looks checked out by the 5th inning. It’s infuriating to watch as fans who rode with them through the highs of 2025. Where’s the fire? Where’s the pride in the uniform? This isn’t the Blue Jays way.If they don’t wake the hell up soon, this season is going to be a wasted year and a massive step backward. Bring back the 2025 dogs. We know what this team can be when they actually give a damn. Right now? It’s embarrassing.

This team feels like the 2024 team except for one huge difference

And that is they are only 3 games back from a WC spot.

This team has not been good. And painful to watch. And yes there is lots of competition for that last WC spot.

But in any other season, being 3 games from playoffs in July means you’re still in it. And usually means you buy at deadline.

In 2024, Jays were about 9 games back from WC at this point. Similar teams, drastically different context

August 3…

It’s approaching incredibly fast. Less than a month. What do the Jays have to do (and who do we need to get/trade) to be in a WC spot?

Also who do we NEED to keep (other than Ernie and Kirky because they obviously have to stay)

recommend some Blue Jays reporters

Hi! I've recently become interested in the Blue Jays, and I'd like to follow the team more closely. Could you recommend some Blue Jays beat reporters or journalists who regularly share team news and updates? Thanks!

District Tix

Planning to take the kid and a friend to a jays game. They’re 6 years old & we’re planning to go on a Jr Jays Sunday.

Is there anyway to actually watch the game from if the kids want to sit with these district tix? Or should I buy standard seats?

I’ve been with my kids before, and they like to walk around and check out the jr jays activities during the game so I thought the district tix might be fine, but I worry about when they want to eat or sit down for a bit and actually watch the game.

Got to see Mad Max pitch his 3 inning rehab start for The Vancouver Canadians today

Final Line: 3.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 K
Video in the comments.
Saw the announcement that he was pitching and jumped on seat geek instantly. Got really lucky with the seats as well.
Amazing to see a future hall of famer in such a small ballpark.

Blue jays v2.0

I’m really liking this upgrade to the jays - less springer noise
Keys working well- Hoffman not so bad either
More hits less errors
Good pitching - hoping this patch works and will not need a factory reset
Please note this version may not work for everybody - viewer discretion advised- terms and conditions apply

Does anyone know what Edwing is doing with the Jays?

Apart from every once in a while fans get to say “hey it’s Encarnacion, cool”?

Do we really have this many fans in Seattle?

Hi everyone!

I'm watching the game right now (10:45pm - July 3rd, 2026) and from the broadcast, I keep hearing "Let's go blue jays!" chants. I initially thought I was mishearing the Mariner's fans chanting, but it's clearly for the Jays.

EDIT: Thank you everyone for your reply! I live in Toronto and I think I took being close to Roger's center for granted! I'm glad that the folks living in western Canada are taking every opportunity to cheer for the Jays!

Sean Keys > George Springer ?

I know it’s super early, but after the last game against the Mets where the hitters looked to have waken up, is this new configured line the way to go?

What are y’all thoughts ?

Bo…

After these past few games and seeing how much we as Jays fans mean so much to him, and Bo seeing how much he means to us…I have to wonder if he’ll ever come home.

It was even said on the broadcast…that man does not wear his heart on his sleeve, but you could see there were tears swimming just out of reach. And every at bat he had, there was almost thunderous applause.

I have to wonder if, in the Canada Day game…if Fish gave him that 4 ball walk so he could hang out with his brother at 1st.

So…do you think he’ll ever come home?

IDEAS NEEDED for a mid-game surprise for our friend getting married

In mid-August, 20 of my friends and I are going to have a (tasteful-ish) bachelor party day for our friend that includes a Blue Jay game. We tried booking a message on a jumbotron, but we were too late to reserve a slot.

Sooooo, wise people of the internet, I'm curious what other things at the Blue Jay game we can do to make our friend's day special.

For instance... any way to book a surprise appearance with BJ Birdy / Ace?

Anyone got any connections where, in lieu of a jumbotron shoutout, we can still get him to partake in one of those trivia/activity games that happen between innings?

Any and all ideas are welcome! Thank you!
