About a month ago I posted (https://www.reddit.com/r/blunderyears/s/oRBVjXV1Ik) about getting called “young man” often as a child because, quite frankly, I looked like a boy. Mom sent me this picture from our Christmas card photo shoot that year. I remember the intense argument to wear this getup instead of a dress, and apparently I won. Definitely not beating the young man allegations.
My face is censored to protect privacy except for one one I’m wearing a mask. Different photos from ages from 11-15.
this was before oliver tree guys so dont even say i was copying him…some might even say he stole the bowlcut idea from me. i cried for days after cutting my hair like this i regretted it so much lol. at some point it kind of became my identity and it honestly boosted my popularity because i was definitely the funniest kid at school. kept it for about a year and a half.
you can’t see it but the fidget spinner has Toe Mater on it…
edit: also i forgot to mention this photo was taken by the yearbook photographer during a jog-a-thon. it made it into the yearbook and let’s just say i got a lot of practice signing my autograph at the end of the school year…
(My name is Amanda) 2010 was a time. The chipped tooth really adds something to the fit.
I have a friend who physically cringes away every time I show him this, so naturally I do it randomly.
