The year was 1992. Haircut was by my parents who kept “trying to even it out” until I was left with this. Sweater was my mom’s. I didn’t know how to smile for pictures then, and still don’t.

That same summer I shaved an S in my chest, I also grew a random tuft of hair on top of my head and bleached it, as we did in the 90's.

From a FB album dedicated to a single afternoon of junk food consumption. RIP to this jelly baby.

I was a cloak kid too

If anyone called it a cape, I made sure to let them know capes are for superheroes and this is not one.

I wore this all the time from 5th grade (2008) through 8th grade until the point where is was wrecked, nasty, and beyond saving (idk if it ever got washed and sadly it was a bit long on me so it had holes in the lining from dragging on the ground). My dad can’t remember if I wore it to school or not, but I definitely wore this out in public a lot. It was my main coat at the time.

Bonus last picture of what I believe was a starwars halloween costume?

Thanks u/marquessmint for sharing your cloak — it’s what prompted me to ask my dad if there were pictures and thankfully he came through.

Back again with another haircut from my mom

You may remember my kid Karen post from a few months ago. Just came across another blunder. I’ll never understand the BANGS!

Circa late 2018/early 2019. I was obsessed with David Bowie as a teenager (I still enjoy his music btw, but I sometimes cringe at my behaviour back then…)

My best friend and I, 1996

The outfits, the disheveled hair, the emotional poses… we’re still best friends!

Edit: it’s 1997, we were 8 years old :)

Was really into "Black Butler" when I was 12 and had a "Victorian" phase.

When I came out as a lesbian to my mother 10 years later, I was met with a resounding "I know." Also, I am told the haircut was apparently inspired by Tegan & Sara.

No, I wasn’t the teacher. I just liked dressing old I guess.
