BMSIT vs MAHE Bangalore(MIT)

I kind of screwed up KCET and Comedk but I think with my score I should get around 9K rank or smthing in kcet which should get me into CSE for BMSIT. But contemplating between BMSIT and MAHE Bangalore.
I live in bangalore and both these colleges are around 25 Mins from my house. BMSIT through kcet will be like max 1.5L per year whereas MIT is like 6Lakhs per year. I've heard that BMSIT is pretty good but after the recent posts regarding placements, crowds, and exposure, im not so sure anymore.
I want the college which has the better exposure with good clubs, internships, and companies visiting.
Can seniors give their honest input regarding BMSIT?

74 marks in 9s1

What rank can I expect?

I Want to study Mechanical Engineering. What order should I keep these colleges in after RVCE- MSRIT, BMSCE, DSCE, BIT, BMSRIT, RVITM, any other good college. Want college in Bangalore. A good peer group is absolutely essential.
Priorities/Non-negotiables are-

  • Strong peer group + technical clubs and culture and sports.
  • Research/internship exposure
  • Brand value and long-term opportunities
  • Flexibility/manageable academics for skill building outside college
  • Good mechanical department

Interested in mathematics, so I'll join IIT-M BS Data Science online degree from my second year, start with internships and research work in vacation breaks, etc, and work on skills(CAD, CAE, CFD, FEA) by myself. I'll do MS abroad from Germany after 2-4 years of job in India. So campus placements will not matter as much as peer group and environment do.
Messed up JEE pretty bad so no options from there, and drop is not an option.

How probable is branch sliding into mechanical branch from lower branches after 1st year in colleges like MSRIT, BMSCE? If sliding is very probable, I might consider getting into branches like civil in either msrit or bmsce over mech in lower colleges like bmsit, etc. Someone please guide me.

Also, are Mysore colleges like JSSTU, SJCE, SIT worth it for my situation?

Any alumni/current student please help me list out the college priority order list.

TL;DR: Want to study mechanical, will study maths from IIT-M BS DS and skills by myself, highly prioritize peer group and environment. Masters abroad plans. Want help to sort college priority list.

Honorable Seniors

Seniors, Please Be Honest.

Is Considering BMSITM CSE or CSE Specialization worth it?

Can you share your experiences, the difficulties you faced, the advantages this college gives over others, cultural shift, Opportunities, placements reality, how you managed for fees.

Is The Academics over there hassle for you? How is the College Life?

Please Pardon me if I asked for a lot, just a curious kid who wants your help. Thanks.

Need honest reviews about BMSIT CSE from seniors

Hi everyone,
I’m considering joining BMSIT for BTech CSE this year and I wanted some honest opinions from seniors or anyone studying there.
How is the overall college life, coding culture, placements, internships, faculty, attendance pressure, campus crowd, hostel, etc.?
I’ve seen mixed opinions online, so I really want some inside info before making a decision.
Would you recommend choosing BMSIT CSE over other similar colleges?
Also, what are the biggest pros and cons according to you?
Please be brutally honest 😭 Any advice would genuinely help me a lot. Also tell if I can just dm you and talk about it there ! Thnkyouuuu
