Hey seniors, looking at BMSIT CSE but the massive 900-seat explosion is stressing me out. Since we pay heavy management fees to study here, I need some brutal honesty before taking the risk: The Crowd vs Faculty: With 900 students, are we getting completely ignored by professors? Do we get any actual freedom for electives, or is it mismanaged chaos? Internships (Y1 to Y3): Is there any support for international/Nepali students to land early internships, or are we 100% on our own? The Placement Gate: Since there's zero data for a batch this massive, what’s the vibe on campus? Are the rumors about strict 9+ CGPA screening filters and top companies blacklisting the college real? Please drop some truth bombs below. Help a junior out! 🙏

Hello guys i'm an international student and i will be joining BMSIT soon but i'm having a hard time deciding between the hostel and staying in a pg.

Which one would you recommend for a student? Also, how strict is the BMSIT hostel , going outside college , timings , foods, freedom and overall strictness.

Actually i would like to go outdoors sometimes rather than staying in room.

I have a COMEDK 2026 rank of 19.6k (GM, non-Karnataka) and my first preference is AI & ML at BMSIT.

From last year's counselling, I saw that BMSIT AI & ML closed at around 26.3k in Round 4, so technically my rank falls within last year's final cutoff.

The only thing I'm worried about is If I don't get BMSIT in Round 3 and decide to wait for Round 4, I'll have to accept whatever seat I get in the final round. So, does taking this risk make sense based on previous years' trends?

Also, apart from BMSIT, which colleges do you think I should keep as backup options? I don't really want to go below BMSIT in terms of overall quality, placements, and reputation.

I live in Bangalore so I don't want to go to Mysore or sjce. These are the two options and I am so confused like I have seen everyone bashing both the colleges so much I am scared of entering the cse department only considering the job market aswell. I want some guidance so I can choose, please please help me. The factors I am considering:

1. Return on investment (don't need hostel btw live in Bangalore only)
2. how hard is it to maintain a 9 cgpa. Are the teachers good or you need to refer youtube for exams and stuff
3. how much free time does one get to upskill themselves
4. time to prepare for cat, will I get the time to do so if I also gave to maintain a good cgpa and do dsa and stuff?
5. are the placements centralised with bmsce?

On the basis of above please rank both the colleges or any better suggestion u have.
