Doing Kerala Story 2 must be such a weird career gamble for young actors
I was thinking about the actors after watching Kerala Story 2 discourse.
For young actors, a film like this is not a normal opportunity.
Visibility milti hai, yes. People know your face. Interviews happen. Emotional scenes get noticed.
But image risk bhi hai.
Because nobody discusses your performance normally.
If people hate the film, they attach that hate to you.
If people love the film, they make you a symbol.
If critics call it propaganda, your role gets dragged into that.
If supporters defend it, your acting becomes part of their politics.
Imagine preparing seriously for an emotional role and then every comment is about ideology.
That must be exhausting.
I genuinely wonder if young actors think long-term before signing such films or just see “big visibility hai, kar lete hain.”
For established actors, controversy is manageable. For younger actors, it can become identity.
