Need opinion on recovering my bonsai

A month ago I posted about my dying bonsai. I got a lot of advice and just wanted to do a follow-up post to ask if I did everything correctly. I just have a question about whether the soil is okay or not.

Help me revive my bonsy

Can anyone help me with my bonsai? It’s been like this for about half a year. It’s still alive. If I scratch the first layer, it’s green, but I just can’t get it to grow leaves again. It’s a classical ficus. I water it twice a week.

Bonsai Ficus need help

Good morning

Could you please help me with how and where I should prune it?
I tried yesterday with the help of the IA, but I’m not sure if I did it all correctly.
My parents bought the Ficus in Paris in 1994, and a few years ago my mother gave it to me. It was never kept in shape back then.
In 2023, I went to a bonsai centre where it was pruned properly for the first time, but they also told me it’s out of shape. Last year it had mites, so I went back to the centre; they didn’t prune it, but treated it with a pesticide. However, the centre is 100 km away and they told me to take a hallmark and prune it myself. But I’m very unsure where to start and which branches I should cut and how. As I said, I had a go yesterday…
