Pozdrav svima!
Hvala!

Its normal to not limit yourself in dating and marriage to "your own", sometimes people in diaspora even make a conscious effort to be around people with a different background.
A lot of these people aren't that attached to their homeland, at least from my experience, so its not that much of a deal for them to be with an American, German, French etc...
But for those of you who got into such relationships and still feel very attached to your culture, home country: How do you balance and not end up overburdening your partner? How did you react if your SO actually doesn't really like the country? What are your plans if you have children? What was your experience in general and what are the biggest challenges in your opinion?
Hi there,
does anyone know if there's a rental company in Munich that lets you travel to Bosnia? All companies I checked say it's not allowed to go there.
Me and my partner will be travelling in June and are keen on doing activities such as visiting trebević mountain. Is it easy to travel around the city without a car?
Hello everyone!
I am planning a 9-day trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina in late August within a 1-month trip in the West Balkans (Serbia > BiH > Montenegro > Albania > North Macedonia), and I would like to get your feedback on my itinerary options. Currently, I have two versions, but I am open to hearing other recommendations!
What I'm looking for: I know the region is beautiful, but I'm trying to avoid a trip where everything starts to blur together, especially coz this is a long one. I'd like to prioritize places and experiences that feel genuinely different in mood, setting, history, or cultural context, especially things that feel unique to BiH compared with the other countries I’m visiting. I'm less interested in adding stops just because they offer a slightly different architectural style or another pretty historic town that I might not fully appreciate as a non-expert. I'm more interested in places where the difference is something I can really feel as a traveler: learning about Yugoslav era and Bosnian War history, rural villages and nature, arts/café culture, etc. I’m into culture, art, history, easy to intermediate hikes, and cool/creative neighborhoods or spaces. Since this is part of a longer trip, I also want my city days to be slow, like exploring museums and sitting around in cafes kinda days. Sarajevo has also been on my bucket list, so I do want to give ample time for the city.
Other notes: I tried to reduce the number of times I switch hotels, which is why I focused more on day trips where I can. I'm used to 2hr travel times per way even on a regular day so a long journey isn't too much of an issue. I am also unable to drive in these countries.
So here's my draft itinerary:
For D7-D9, I have 2 options:
I guess the question really is where it's worth the hassle to move hotels for 1 night in Mostar (though I heard the train ride is beautiful), and whether I should prioritize Travnik and Jajce or more time in the Herzegovina region. It is also possible to do Travnik and Jajce instead of another Sarajevo Day in Option B, but I think reducing my Sarajevo days to 3 instead of 4 will make me want to rush through sites (especially museums!) instead of having slow days.
I also have some other questions:
Thanks so much and looking forward to hearing from locals and seasoned travelers in the area!
Hello,
I have been bitten by the Burek bug. Specifically the cheese. The version I had was smooth, custard, right amount of cheese. The next day when I warmed it up it got chewy which I loved even more. Now I tried to make it myself with Turkish white cheese and mozzarella and ended up with salty, sour, sharp edges baked something. Please help a friend out.
What is the best cheese to get the refined smooth flavor, and chewy texture. If it is feta cheese then which kind? I need the nuanced recipe please.
Thank you.
Hi everyone, I am in a massive emergency and need a huge favor right now.
My bus completely misled me and messed up my travel plans, leaving me stranded. I have a flight departing from Sarajevo Airport (SJJ) to Istanbul at 17:40 TODAY.
I desperately need to get to the airport by 17:10 at the absolute latest. I am currently in the bus and going to Trebinje - and need someone who can drive me from Trebinje or Mostar to directly SJJ ASAP.
I absolutely cannot miss this flight I am a university student and have a critical project due on Monday that I cannot miss. I will gladly pay you well for your time, gas, and the hassle.
If you or anyone you know can drive me, please DM me immediately. Thank you so much!
I’m planning on surprising my parents with a holiday in Bosnia and I would like suggestions for places outside of the city mainly for nature.
I’m looking for a cabin/lodge type place with access to nearby farms or maybe local people that make their own products like cheese and local food. My parents love the simple nature side of things and they need an escape from the city life. Preferably a serviced accomodation or hotel type.
I’m just having trouble finding these listings online. Anyone have suggestions?
My main attractions I’m looking for are:
Countryside cabin vibes
Friendly locals we can maybe talk to
Access to a farm or a place where locals sell their local produce
It should be fairly accessible as my parents can only walk for 1 hour at a time.
Your help is greatly appreciated!!
Hi Everyone, looking forward to having an excellent time in BiH next week. I had a question. So, I reserved a ticket from Sarajevo to Mostar for next week. And after I made the reservation, the only thing that I have received is a payment confirmation, which has no mention of the dates or my train number. I know I have to collect my tickets at the station, but I was expecting to receive atleast a confirmation with the details.
I wrote to the information desk, and they said I just need to show my ID to get the tickets and that there's no other confirmation coming.
Is that normal? I'm worried because I have my family with me.
Zanima me šta vi Bosanci mislite o njemu?
Ako nas nema dovoljno, drugi će donositi odluke umjesto nas.
Šta možeš raditi:
Rat – učestvuješ u borbama, osvajanju teritorija i organizovanim akcijama
Politika – izbori, vlada, donošenje odluka (trenutno ključni dio igre za nas)
Ekonomija – firme, tržište, pravljenje novca i jačanje države
Zajednica / novine – komunikacija, organizacija i sadržaj koji igrači prave

Tu smo aktivni svaki dan i brzo ćeš pohvatati kako sve funkcioniše.
