Chicago Night 2 - wtf?
I’ve seen BH play three times before, and every time has been super fun. I like to dance hard and move my body around the crowd, finding pockets of other people dancing hard and moving until a big crowd gets in the middle and becomes a pit of sorts.
Last night, the crowd fucking SUCKED. It felt like a majority had their phones recording for over 2-3+ minutes and was more entrenched in taking videos to show other people that they were here instead of enjoying the music.
When Electric came on, I rushed through the crowd to the middle to see if there was that pit/space with other dancers and was surprised there wasn’t anyone there…and also surprised that people around me were actually mad that I was moving around and dancing??? One guy shoved me away and when I turned around, I looked at him and offered him space- he just stared at me, not moving…
Vibe got ruined during Come Closer when some fucking asshole punched another guy square in the jaw, knocking him down in the middle of the crowd. Security was so fucking slow to move that the asshole ended up leaving before they could get to him.
Idk about anyone else, but if you’re going to be at a BH show that’s sold out + in the middle of the crowd, guess what? People are going to fucking move and push and shove and dance to the music. If you get pissy-wissy that you get bumped, then maybe you should be in the balcony or relax.
