Anglers Lodge Hollister

I’m staying at the Anglers Lodge in Hollister, MO this coming weekend. Do they share amenities with the Big Cedar Lodge? Like the pools?

I’m writing a novel about an apocalyptic Springfield and Branson.

I just uploaded the first couple of chapters. I tried to include lots of local flavor (mostly focused on the Branson Landing in the first couple of chapters.) I would love to hear what you guys think!

What to do outside of Branson (kid friendly)

The wife and I are in Branson until tomorrow with our 6 yo. We have done a few things in Branson, but looking to find some other things to do outside of Branson. Don't want to go super far, maybe an hour at the most. Prefer indoor things because it's hot as hell right now.

Best place near/on the Landing to watch the US World Cup game on 7/1?

As the title states. Checking in for vacation tomorrow, and want to take the family somewhere for a watch party. Based on my research maybe Waxy O’Sheas? Any guidance is much appreciated.

Free evening tonight in Branson - Looking for activity suggestions!!!

I'm a 34 year old female in Branson for the first time. I'm only here for 5 days. My plans for tonight were suddenly cancelled. What should I do? I'll take any suggestions! I don't want to do nothing in the hotel tonight.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!!!

New movie idea

I think Branson should do a movie called. Falling in love: with scenes like Silver Dollar City, Dolly Parton’s Stampede, Dana’s, Pirate’s Cove mini golf, and Raiding the country vault show.

Swim options?

In town next week and staying by SDC. I'm currently training for an ironman and scouting for options to get some early morning swims in before the family is up and around. Ideally, somewhere I can get a mile in relatively easy. Most beaches don't open until 9am or later. Thanks!

Unique date ideas?

My wife and I will be in Branson for our 32 wedding anniversary. We have been to Branson many times. So, I’m looking for something to do that is totally different and unique. We have done the shows. Been to Stolen Dollar City and many other “ normal “ places to go to. Please give me some creative ideas !

Stay near silver dollar city or just stay in Branson??

Trying to plan family trip and now Im stuck overthinking the hotel part lol

were doing SDC for 2 days with kids. originally I was gonna stay in branson since there are way more hotel options but now Im wonderin if staying closer to the park is actuallyworth it

getting back to the hotel quickly after a long day sounds nice especially with tired kids but the hotels in town seem a bit nicer and sometimes cheaper haha

those who done both what worked better for your family? Is the extra drive is a big deal??

Hikes with swimming holes?

I'm getting ready for my family's annual trip to Branson, and I'm looking for some new activities. Specifically a hike or park with a swimming hole. We've done the waterfall trail below Westgate a couple times. It was nice, but I'm looking for some variety and a different swimming hole.

Any recommendations?

Things to do for toddlers?

Hi all! I think we’ve decided to go to Branson for our family vacation this summer, as it’s not too far from home and it’s our first official vacation as a family. I’m from the area but moved about 10 years ago.

My toddlers are 22 months, looking for things to do for them while we are there! I’m already planning on taking them to White Water as they have a little kid area. SDC will have to wait as they are too small for the kiddie area. TIA!
