I took stems someone sent me and made this. The red parts at 1st are just his raw stuff he sent me. Then I get into the song I made from it. What do you peeps think ?

Any Deepsky fans?

I remember catching their live show in Seattle, I love those guys. Quite a show. I bought every record by them I could find. They ended up pretty successful, I know they actually remixed a Madonna song. At least I think that’s right. I wonder what they’re up to now. I haven’t heard about them in a while. I could check, I know…but… It’s more fun to discover than to research, to me at least.

Let's remember Danny McMillan

When we talk about nu skool breaks almost everybody here is well aware of the figures like Adam Freeland, Rennie Pilgrem, Bushwacka! etc. but I'm not sure if many people know about Danny. He was also one of the pioneers, as influential and involved as the other guys.

Here are some of his works for the people that don't know him:

Boundarie Hunters (McMillan & Mike James)- Self Destruct

McMillan & Anderson - Latino Breaks

Stringz (McMillan & Tab) - Bring The Drama

Uptown Connection (McMillan & Kevin Beber) - L.A.

DJ’s do it rhythmically

Just uploaded the final edit of my new track.

Free download if anyone wants to take a swing at a remix. I put a lot into this one, including some patterns from my glitch/stutter/breakbeat generator, so it has its own little mutant engine under the hood.

It’s somewhere in the Florida breaks / new school breaks orbit, with Icey being a big influence. My ears are a little cooked from years around loud DJ gear, so if anything in the mix feels off, I’d honestly appreciate the heads-up. 👊

I’m making a….

Hey everyone, I wanted to run something by the breakbeat heads before I put it out into the world.

I’ve been building a smart probability-based glitch, stutter, and breakbeat generator from the bones of an earlier project. It’s not AI. It’s more like a hands-on rhythm machine for sparking ideas, chopping breaks, creating variations, and pushing patterns into weird little groove zones.

It uses slices, probability, density, controlled randomization, and editable patterns. I’m also working on style options inspired by Florida breaks, Big Beat, Nuskool breaks, rave breaks, funky breaks, and other breakbeat flavors.

The important part is that the beats aren’t locked in. After it generates something, you can still edit everything and make it your own.

I’m building it partly as a business, but also because I genuinely want more people making breakbeat music. I love this sound, and I’d rather build something useful for the scene than just throw another soulless tool into the pile.

Would something like this be useful to you, or does it feel like a bad idea?

Why not more heavy drums these days?

Hello breakbeat headz! Since I was a little kid, I liked heavy drum breaks. However, I find that this is considered outdated in music now. Do you know any underated fresh big beat artist who has a style from the first steps of Fatboy Slim? Ideally reminiscent of something from the album "You've Come a Long Way, Baby"... Also, I would like to ask why, of all the artists I listen to, the first albums pique my interest?

(I apologize for my poor english language.)

So a mate asked me to play breaks at his wedding...

I love this genre so I've got a raft of underground tracks to play but with it being a wedding I'd love to throw down some good breakbeat remixes of more popular / known songs. I'll be working between 130 and 137 BPM. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks everyone.

Give Me a Break (Vast Mix) Is on YT and NG now! And I made a really 00s video for it.

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
This used to be an album exclusive from my album "VAST", and the original "Give Me a Break" has existed on NG for a while, but the VAST MIX has never been available on YT and NG, until now! In my opinion its a VAST improvement from the original ;)
