Do you know where you stand nationally according to your profile?

It would be based on your DSA and CP level ,
Projects , how unique those projects are ?
in how much deep you have worked on the techstack mentioned ?

How you perfomed academic wise?

Have you won any hackathon?

Do you have any experience?

Also how can you improve will be told

Lenovo LOQ (i5/i7 + RTX 4050) or MacBook Air M5 for ML/CS student?

hey everyone, i’m planning to buy a new laptop, and i’ve narrowed it down to these options:
Lenovo LOQ (either i5 + RTX 4050 or i7 + RTX 4050) or
MacBook Air M5
I’m a Computer Science engineering student, so I’ll mainly be using it for coding, development, general college work, and my main niche is ai/ml. I’d also like something that’ll last me 4–5 years.
which one would you recommend, and why? pls help

Roast / Review my resume - Fresher applying off-campus for Full Stack roles

Hey everyone,

Need some honest feedback on my resume.

I’m a 2026 ECE grad from a Tier-2 college. I started out in a non-dev role at the end of my 3rd year itself, but pretty quickly realized I wanted to pivot fully into software engineering, so I’ve been spending the last few months seriously building projects and grinding DSA.

Since I couldn’t participate in campus tech placements, off-campus applications, referrals, and cold outreach are my main route now.

Targeting full-stack roles with decent pay 8-12 LPA.

Current stack: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL

A bit about me:

  • ~8 months of experience at a product startup, working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams on enterprise software
  • Built and deployed 2 substantial projects
  • ~150 DSA problems solved (still grinding)

Would love feedback on things like:

  • Is this resume good enough for shortlisting?
  • Any red flags / weak sections?
  • What should I improve for startups vs bigger companies?
  • Am I overselling or underselling anything?

No sugarcoating please - I’d rather get roasted here than rejected silently by recruiters later 😅

Thanks!

IS TAKING LOAN OF 23 LAKHS WORTH IT?

Yo guys I didn't give jee or any other entrance exam, due to health issues I wasn't able to score good in class 12 pcm so my percentage was 70, so now I'm getting no scholarship and Bennet is the only college that I can get but my family financial situation is weak so taking a loan of 23 lakhs (Coruses fees+ hostel) worth it for Bennet if I lock in and try to score top placements?

Kya hota hai 1st year mai

What skills should I start learning before/during 1st year engineering?

I'm about to start my 1st year of engineering and honestly, I have no idea what to expect. 😭

My family has already warned me that if I get a KT, they'll start talking about getting me married. 💀🙏🏽 (Half joke... half serious.)

So I wanted to ask seniors:

- What skills do you wish you'd started learning in 1st year?

- Should I start learning C++, Python, or something else?

- Are there any YouTube channels, courses, or resources you'd recommend?

I'm not looking to become a coding genius overnight I just want to use my time well and build a strong foundation.

Any advice, roadmaps, or things you wish someone had told you before starting engineering would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance. 🙏🏽

Can anyone guide me and suggest a college for btech cse?

Can anyone suggest good college for btech cse?

So I have scored 72% in pcm class 12th and i never prepared for jee or any other entrance exam. I had no choice but to take drop and I have started studying for jee through online batch from past week and I'm also considering private college but my budget is around 16-17 lakhs so getting a good private college is pretty difficult for me.

I have started to consider state board exam like mht cet, wbjee or comedk

Can anyone help me with my situation and give a practical solution. It would mean a lot cuz I've already wasted time and can't afford to take drop of another year

How should I prepare for Infosys on-campus roles L1, L2, L3 and DSE?

Hi everyone,

My college has an upcoming Infosys on-campus drive for L1, L2, L3 and DSE roles. I wanted to ask people who have already attempted these rounds about the preparation strategy and question level.

What kind of questions can I expect for each role? Are the coding questions mostly basic, medium, or DSA-heavy? Also, which topics should I focus on the most for L2/DSE?

I also wanted to know if there is any off-campus way to get these roles apart from HWI, since I already messed that up.

Any guidance from seniors or people who have gone through the process would really help. Thanks.

25k SDE internship with PPO vs 50k teaching job. What should I choose? For alum

I recently graduated got a 6-month SDE internship paying ₹25k/month with a performance-based PPO (I've heard around 80–90% get converted if they perform well). At the same time, I have an opportunity to take a teaching job in a Tier-2 city paying ₹50k/month. My family's financial situation isn't great, so the extra income would really help.

I'm not a pro coder—I started doing DSA because my friends did, but I eventually fell in love with solving problems. Should I take the internship and try for the PPO, or choose the teaching job and prepare for SDE off-campus interviews on the side? I'd really appreciate your advice.

Edit Intern location is in Bangalore, Whitefield almost all are saying you will have to ask parents for money

Need some hardware/embedded systems related project ideas

Hi everyone,

I'm an Electronics and Computer Engineering student looking for a hardware or embedded systems project for my final year.

I want something that's:

-Socially relevant

-Innovative

-Has real-world applications

I'm particularly interested in projects that solve actual problems or explore emerging technologies.

If you've built a project you're proud of, know of interesting research that can be turned into a prototype, or have ideas that stand out during placements, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks in advance!

Should I choose B.Tech CSE or BBA? I'm completely confused and need genuine advice.

My qualifications: Passed Class 12 (PCM) with 60%.

...

Hi everyone,

I recently passed Class 12 with 60% in PCM, and I'm at a point where I have to take admission this year. Taking a drop isn't an option for me.

The biggest problem is that I genuinely don't know what I'm interested in. Whenever I ask people for advice, they say, "Do what you're passionate about." But that's exactly what I'm struggling with—I have no clear passion or career goal.

Almost all of my friends are joining B.Tech CSE with different specializations. The thing is, I have zero coding knowledge. I don't know Python, C++, Java, or any programming language. I've never built a project or explored coding before. This makes me wonder if I'll even be able to survive or perform well in CSE.

At the same time, I also have some interest in business, so I've been considering BBA. But after researching online, I found that the average salary after a BBA seems to be around ₹4–5 LPA, whereas B.Tech CSE graduates often get ₹6–10 LPA (though I know this depends on skills and college).

I'm just an average student—not a topper, but I'm willing to work hard once I choose a direction. My parents are not forcing me into any career. They simply say, "Choose whatever you want, but be successful in it." That support is great, but it also makes the decision entirely mine, and I'm scared of making the wrong choice.

So I have a few questions:

  1. Can someone with zero coding background succeed in B.Tech CSE if they're willing to learn from scratch?

  2. Is choosing CSE only because of better job opportunities a bad idea?

  3. Should I choose BBA if I have a slight interest in business, even though the starting salaries are generally lower?

  4. If you were in my position, what would you do?

Please be honest. I'd really appreciate advice from people who have studied or are currently studying B.Tech CSE or BBA. Even a few minutes of your time could help me make one of the biggest decisions of my life.

Thank you so much.

59% in 12th, 8.6 CGPA in B.Tech Placement advice?

I'm in my final year of B.Tech with an 8.6 CGPA, but I scored 59% in my 12th boards. Since many companies require 60% throughout academics, I'm worried about placement opportunities.

Can anyone suggest:

Tech companies that don't have a strict 60% in 12th requirement?

If anyone with a similar profile was able to get a software job?

IIT Ropar (Eng sci) vs BITS Pilani CSE

Please help me with the choice.. I hear bits has better placements but is it okay to skip the iit tag? Also is eng sci like cse? They give you cs specialisations like ai, robotics, cybersecurity, quantum etc.. can a senior actually discuss the scene in ropar? I hope companies will not filter out eng sci?
