Buddie wedding thoughts

How do y’all imagine Buddie eventually getting married? Do you see them having a huge ordeal, a grand proposal, big wedding, reception, the whole nine yards. or something much smaller and more intimate, like a firehouse wedding with just the 118 and immediate family.

Another question for everyone. Who do you see being more involved in the planning? I could honestly see buck being the one who gets really exited about all the little details (clipboard buck) and wants to make the day feel special, while i see Eddie as *laid back and letting buck be buck*. I could also see Eddie unexpectedly becoming really invested once he realizes he finally gets to have a say in his own wedding and life.

Because with his relationship with Shannon, Eddie basically eloped at 19 after finding out she was pregnant. He was so young, and their marriage happened because they were suddenly trying to figure out adulthood, parenthood, and their relationship all at once. And the pressure of parents to get married. Eddie never really got the experience of planing a wedding, choosing what he maybe wanted or simply being an active participant in this incredible milestone of his life.

So I kind of love the idea that especially for Eddie, Eddie would actually get to experience that. Not because he suddenly cares about centerpieces or flowers, but because *he finally gets to goose the person, the place and the way they begin their next phase in their life. I think that would end up meaning much more to him than he initially realizes.

buddie's first date

following buddie's eventual (and hopefully fairly soon within the next 1-2 seasons or so) cannonness, where do you think buddie's first date would be and/or how would it go?

1.) restaurant
2.) movies
3.) food market
4.) pier/beach/park (outdoors) date
5.) your choice

imo, a mix of three and four would be my leading favorites, but i could change my mind
though, as for now, going to a food market and picking out each others' favorite foods then going to the beach to bask in the sun and enjoy each other's company with just the two of them would be so romantic and cute :grinning-dog-gif:

Season 8

Okay, so, I'm late to the party bc I'm watching on Disney+ France, but I'm currently watching season 8 and I SWEAR TO GOD GUYS IF THEY DON'T MAKE BUDDIE HAPPEN BEFORE THE END OF THE GODDAMN SHOW I WILL RIOT.

Also, I'm not a fan of Tommy, even if I'm glad we got some bi Buck action before getting Buddie. Like, there's not enough bi characters out there.

I gotta say. I'm glad we get a bi man MC in a firefighter show. Gay man, bi women, these are not uncommon. Funny (not actually) how bi women are common + fine, gay guys are pretty ok, but lesbians and bi guys... Especially bi guys... Well, I guess that's why I love 911 and 911: Lone Star!!!

(Also, watching the Halloween episode rn, I'm too tired to not bawl my eyes out)

Why hasn’t buddies gone canon?

What are people’s thoughts on Buck and Eddie not being canon despite Buddie’s large fanbase?

Since season two, they’ve been shipped together and gained significant online traction on platforms like Twitter, TikTok, Reddit and AO3. Many scenes between the two have been interpreted romantically, with some seeing them as more than just friends.

Even after Buck came out as bisexual, their relationship hasn’t progressed romantically.

Given nine seasons, why haven’t they made them canon? Were there any behind the scenes reasons or were the writers intentions to keep them platonic?

Dream ending scene

yk what would be a great ending scene: buck, eddie, chris, and theo are going shopping and buck is waiting with the kids while eddie checks out. the cashier looks at them and comments to eddie “you have such a beautiful family” and eddie hestiates for a second then looks at Buck and the boys and says “yeah i really do”. and then he buys a bottle of juice and walks over to his family. 🫢

Once Buddie goes canon..

Do you think Eddie and Buck would have an awkward “getting used to being a couple” phase after being best friends for sooo long, or dyt they would fall into the relationship pretty naturally?

Edit: By awkward, I mean would they be shy about being affectionate/touchy or doing couple-y stuff at first.
