Do you think nonslip shoes are an upgrade from just normal sneakers? There are a lot of nonslip shoes that are in the style of sneakers, are extra cushioned for extended wear, are water resistent, and are designed to make slipping on wet surfaces less likely. I think a step up from that would of course be actual hiking boots, but I just wanted to bring attention to a possible middle option between walking shoes and hiking boots. They blend well in urban settings as well, because they can look like normal sneakers.
