Anyone use midnight sun charter for a day trip to bvi? I’m trying to get an idea of what the day will look like. From my understanding we will be hitting the baths, some snorkeling spots, Willie t’s, etc. I will be with a group of 6 and I am the only one who isn’t a super confident swimmer. I’m a little worried with how far the boat will dock when getting to these places. For example, will I have to swim to Willie T from our boat ? I’m ready to cancel this day for myself bc of the anxiety lol.

This will be my 3rd time in BVI on a bare boat with friends and family.

We have our favorites for food: coco maya, tipsy shark, Peter island beachfront/pool restaurant across the island. (Also… RIP North Sound Bistro - you were INCREDIBLE magic too! Thank you for the gorgeous meal in 2022… and all those fresh herbs you cut off the hillside. I’ve missed you all… and I will forever. Wish you were still around!!!! If you know where any of their chefs went… TELL ME. I’m going!)

November 21-29 we’ll be there.

Are there any “can’t miss” new restaurants, beloved by tourists and locals alike?

Are there any thrift stores or consignment shops or quirky shops/sales?

How do I find local artsy events? Music, art, fashion, etc.

What are the options for full moon events on November 24th (besides trellis bay)?

Was also thinking of finally doing a necker island tour (depending on cost). Thoughts?

My favorite thing traveling is finding local energy, creativity, history, nature… off the beaten path is okay. I hate tourist traps.

We want to stay at one resort for a week and do day trips to other islands. Definitely want to be on the beach. Want a place that has access to walkable restaurants/bars. Where would you stay?

family plus two friends. ages mixed. we want a kitchen and a view, not a cruise ship schedule. looking at west end first because the ferry and shops are closer.

found a long list on villas of tortola. had almendra... wait no. looking at alfresco and bougainvillea villa on west end, both 3 bed. azure vista in long bay is pretty but i don’t know if that’s a pain for a group that wants to eat out some nights. chmada beach villa is 4 bed so that might kill the two-house idea.

do people with a group stay west end or split and go long bay? and is a rental car actually required if we cook most nights, or do we just taxi for groceries once? also march water, still decent or already weedy?
