So, in this modern AU, the gang is separated into 2 groups, which are:

California gang: Winny, Daisy, James, Robin, Edith, Stevie

I’d like to briefly share a story I read the other day and really enjoyed.

Something “completely different” — it's set in the Game of Thrones universe (Westeros), so there's no Hawkins, Upside Down, supernatural events, etc.—in short: no Stranger Things.

I don't want to scare anyone off, but the story takes place in the Game of Thrones universe. This naturally includes various “dark elements”—which are part of the general plot and portrayal of Game of Thrones. None of these events are actually described explicitly in detail (hence the “Mature” rating), but they are part of the plot as such—and anyone who can’t handle that should avoid this story.

The fan art (obviously) isn't a 100% match, but symbolically (in terms of the message), it might actually be quite fitting (by cfog88). Let me explain...

The story tells the story of Mike (Micca), a soldier in the army of House Lannister, and Will (Alloy), a pleasure slave owned by Lord Baelish—their great love for one another, how it develops and blossoms, and how it is ultimately destroyed. The story tells a Game of Thrones-style tragedy—and gradually reveals the reasons for the downfall, along with the message that, in my opinion, the story aims to convey. It's not that long and consists of 1 chapter, ~15,000 words, and is told from Mike’s (Micca’s) perspective.

You don’t have to have watched Game of Thrones or read the books to understand the story. However, it does help to contextualize the plot and the circumstances—though it’s not necessary.

In my opinion, the characteristics of our characters still come through—albeit, of course, “adapted” to the Game of Thrones universe(!) - and therefore, in a sense, for what our characters stand for. The story also weaves together various subplots from Game of Thrones, anyone familiar with Game of Thrones will notice this.

The names have been changed in the dialogues to stay true to the universe.

All in all, I find the concept—or rather, the idea—really interesting—even though, of course, it’s ultimately a tragedy, a story with a sad ending.

At this point, I’d like to ask if anyone knows of any other (Byler-centered) AU stories set in the Game of Thrones universe? The ideas—and the possibilities—for building a story in this universe are truly countless.

this is my own fanfic that I wrote the main plot I have for this story is it will be following byler variants like surfsahoy and hellcali and full with lots of traumatic backstory that shapes the characters as well as angst and fluff feedback is greatly appreciated thank you for reading
