I'm tired of feeling like dead weight in alliance fights because I can't babysit marches

Just venting a little because I really like this game, but alliance fights are starting to feel like a job I keep failing.

I'm a midwest, busy-at-home player. Most days I play in tiny pockets while I'm cooking, folding laundry, or waiting on something. I do dailies, queue training, and maybe get one decent play session in. But when big fights break out, it seems the game only rewards the people who can stare at the screen non-stop to retarget, refill, reposition, and swap heroes all the time.

I show up, join the ball, follow pings, and then real life pulls me away for three minutes. I come back and my march is either deleted or way out of position, and I basically donated heals for nothing. Then I feel guilty like I'm not actually helping the alliance, even though I'm trying.

Open field feels especially punishing. Rally and garrison work because you can set them and support from afar, but open field gives you little room for a "good enough" approach. Either you micro nonstop or you end up feeding.

If you aren't online 24/7, how do you make yourself useful in alliance fights without constantly getting eaten? Do you just accept being a filler, or is there a low-maintenance role that actually helps? Any tips would be great.

Call of dragons. Velyn Skill tree.

I’m using lilya/theia & velyn/wad. Does anyone have a good velyn skill tree? I can also use a good lillya one. I’ve found some online but I rather get one from someone who’s using them currently and doing well. Thank you!!

Can someone clarify migration to me?

I'm on server 929. My group won our server and are on pole position for KVK that just started. I am an active player, but unfortunately for me, most of our player are Russia and Asia. So our prime time as a group leaves me out of a lot of activities. Do I really only have the choice to move to another server in my division (ie. the KVK servers we are against right now, as I understand it)? None of them are any better for me. I am looking for options to get with a server/alliance more aligned to when I could be part of more activities. My biggest gripe in this game is you are just kinda "stuck" wherever you land and whatever alliance "wins" with no exit to somewhere you could actually have more fun.

Please tell me there is a realistic path that I just don't know of.

Tournament of champions

How do i counter people weaker than me abusing cavs to melt my backline?
I’m at seaosn 1 running 2 inf 2 mage and 1 cav, i get top 10 every week thankfully and can easily counter them if i’m the one attacking but the more people use cavs on me the harder it gets and I can’t think of a proper counter.

Thanks in advance!

I NEED HELP

I need help defending my server. I made the mistake of accepting a few high power players into my server because they said they wanted to take a break for a season.

Now all they are doing is building towards the dragon and I am defenseless. When I ask about why they are doing it, I get weird answers.

Anyone or group looking for a server to jump to and can help me defend it?

Spending Guide?

What is the best way to spend $5-10 for the massive "must buy" P2W packages. I am just trying to get 5m power by the end of 30 days (day 11 now), and I need a little boost. I was thinking the $1 liliya bundle and then $4 for an extra legion? Any other recommendations or are these the best? Thanks!

Vent: why does the game UI feel like it's hiding the real numbers from me

I like this game a lot, but I'm getting worn down by how often the UI feels like it's only kinda telling the truth.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm doing a lot of boring admin stuff in real life right now (first year filing taxes in Canada), so my brain is in 'show me the exact status and the exact number' mode. In Call of Dragons it often feels like I have to guess what's actually happening.

Stuff that keeps tripping me up:

  • Damage reports and post-fight screens look clean, but they don't clearly answer "what did I spend" versus "what did I gain" versus "what actually happened to my troops." That info is always a few taps away and sometimes the wording is vague.
  • Timers and buffs show up as icons with tiny text, with no simple breakdown of what is stacking, what is not, and what is currently active.
  • Event tasks where the progress bar looks smooth, but the underlying counting is unclear. I do a bunch of actions and then realize I misunderstood what the game counts as valid progress.

I'm not accusing anyone of anything shady. I just want the UI to be more explicit so I don't have to treat every activity like an audit.

How do you people keep your sanity? Do you just stop caring about small efficiency losses, or is there a reliable way to check the real numbers without living in menus all day? My partner and I recently discovered arya, which has helped us reconnect amidst all the chaos. It's been a fun way to focus on intimacy and take a little break from the daily grind. Any tips I missed?

How to smoothly advance in CoD?

Reached City Hall Level 10 smoothly. Then, the wildlings became unbeatable (outnumbered). Need to assemble 2 or 3 teams to finish 1 single wildling, which is very inconvenient and impractical sometimes.

What went wrong?

Marksman main interrogation

Hi boys and girls !

Do you think there's a world where you can afford to skip kinnara/nico and instead wait and go for Syndrion/Ffraegar given the current meta for marksmen ?

To give a bit of context, I am a very low spender profile (monthly packs and season pass and that's about it if not for the occasionnal pack) so I can unlock every heroes but not invest in all of them.

Plus, I like the mechanic behind syndrion/ffraegar more than kinnara/nico's. But I know that generally, you see advice going the other way around.

But lately, I've heard that except for G3 and G5 marksmen heroes, every other pair is more or less the same in terms of merits/open field efficiency.

Hence my question : is it stupid to invest in syndrion/ffraegar if I like them more and skip kin/nico ? Since they both appear in gold chest after sos if I'm not mistaken ?

Or do I shoot myself in the foot, utility wise regarding my potential end game line up ?

I hope I was clear enough for people to understand my point ! Anyway, thanks in advance for your opinions !

Cheers !
