New MC9LS trigger feels very bad

i have a new mc9ls with around 300-400 rounds through it now. ive stripped it down and cleaned it fully. the trigger really just feels awful. you can pull the trigger to the wall, and then there is a lot more pull through some mush required until the firing pin drops. on reset it is the same thing, it will reset and then you have to pull the trigger through some mush before the pin drops. it is no where near the crisp clean break you expect

this video very closely mimics what is happening to me. the only difference is i dont get that initial click they have in the video. but the amount of pull needed *after* hitting the trigger wall is a lot just like in this clip. bassically, ignore the first click in this video after the trigger hits the wall, and that is the amount of pull needed until it fires. my tp9SF Elite is far more sensitive.

- ive stripped and cleaned the gun

- the firing pin safety block moves freely and smoothly (this was a possible solution in the link above)

- ive gone through all the mating surfaces with the sear and firing pin to make sure there are no burrs causing issues. everything looks and feels fine

- i have a TP9SF Elite that is a year old at this point with probably a few thousand rounds through it. that trigger is worlds better than my MC9LS. this is the last thing i expected as everything i've read and heard says the MC9 triggers are an improvement (i wasnt expecting it to be some insane improvement over the TP9 but it expected it to be *at least* as good

- it is a cali-compliant MC9, though i removed the magazine disconnect. i dont think this has any effect on trigger pull but i dont know if the entire ejector assembly is slightly different / less sensitive for Cali compliant guns ?

- this definitely doesnt seem like a trigger-shoe issue. it seems like its in the sear itself

im out of ideas and its really hurting my groupings, and im already not a great shot with a micro-compact. are there any ideas other than keep putting rounds through it hoping it improves ? part of me wants to just try a new ejector assembly

Used Prime

I stopped in my local FFL/Dirt bike shop today and he has a used Prime for sale, 150rds fired, 2 small marks from being carried on magwell, comes with box and all goodies and 2 extra mags.. he has it listed and 450, Really thinking about grabbing it. But torn between that and getting a suppressor for my combat executive..

Just another range trip, shh....

Went to the range the other evening after fitting the threaded barrel on the Rival.

- Rival + threaded barrel + form1 can

- MC9 + threaded barrel + RDI single port comp

- Romulus 4.25 comp - new guy, first rounds, yay!

- Prodigy 4.25 where the remaining Springfield parts are barrel, slide, frame, grip

I kinda love the little MC9 with the comp. Second time shooting it this way - switched back to the TTI trigger shoe and will likely keep it this way. Might have to get the comp cerakoted to complete the "baby TTI" look 🤣

The Rival suppressed is good clean fun... needs a tick heavier recoil spring to reliably return to battery every time, but it was just for range goofing.

Rival S not consistently locking back on empty magazine

I have a new Rival S that I put 300 rounds through. 124 grain NATO so they had a little more oomph. I was hoping to break it in a little as when I first got a Rival I had some issues with the polymer one ejecting rounds until the gun was broken in. I switched back to my usual 124g non NATO round and had some issues with the slide not consistently locking back on an empty magazine. Do I just need to shoot more to break the gun in or is this indicative of an issue?

Just joined the Canik family

I went to Academy the other day because I wanted the Beretta APX A1 Tactical and ended up walking out with this! And I just had to add a sight, light, and the 26 round mag. I have been trying to grab a threaded barrel for her but I can't seem to find one anywhere. I set up notifications for the threaded barrel they sell directly from Canik but they sold out in less than a day and I wasn't able to grab one. Does anyone have any info on the threaded barrels?

Is this normal for paint to start coming off ?

Is it normal after 400 rounds for the side of my prime barrel to look like the paint is coming off already?? Just curious.

Wager, WTF?

Sent my slide to Wager for a refinish, wanted to black it out. And I get this back in the mail today. The Cerakote itself is immaculate. But the optic plate is still the same fucking color! I mean, Is it not common fucking sense that I’d want the optic plate to be the same color as the slide that it’s literally installed on? 😂 Am I trippin? Or is this just absolutely idiotic? I’m honestly pissed off right now lmfao.

Anyway does anyone know where I can buy a black optic lid? Cause I can’t find shit anywhere.

My first Canik

My first Canik, bought this one at the same time as I bought another gun for competition use - this one is solely for fun and eyecandy.

So far I am really liking it! I was initially torn between the Rival S and the TTI Combat, but I reasoned that since I was going to use the 2011 for competition, it didn’t make sense to get the Rival too.

Maybe if the Prime Radian comes to Norway, and it is not stupidly priced here, I might get that as my next Canik.

Until then, I need to track down a threaded barrel for this one, so I can try it out with a suppressor!

Got Some Mail Today

Having 3 days off every week is a curse and a blessing.

Got the green SE for the Elite SC. I will take that or a Cat X Pro over a 507k any day of the week. Also finally got a TF backstrap on her. Perfect fit with the Canik +3 pads on the 12 round mag, but did have to shave down the back of the extended grip 15 round MC9 mag (pictured). Also got a new trigger for the SF.
