Canik Rival S trigger pull questions?

Thank you for the add, here is my Canik Rival S. About 1300 rounds through it at this point, I haven't done anything to the trigger and it's about 3.5lbs at this point. I really like the stock trigger and how it feels but I do want closer to a 2.5lb trigger pull. I just ordered the Galloway precision trigger kit, will this get me sub 3lb? From talking to other competition shooters they have said I will likely have to upgrade the trigger to achieve my desired goal. Any suggestions please and thank you for the time and consideration.

Compensator Help

I bought a disruptive defense compensator for my tp9 sfx, and I’ve gotten nothing but malfunctions,
Stovepipes, failure to feed, etc. and I’m using 124
Grain ammo that worked fine before installing the comp. So I was thinking about getting a lighter recoil spring and was wondering if I needed a new striker spring as well? Or do I just take the comp off? Please give me some advice, thanks!

Holster for Canik Radian Prime? Tultser or Muddy River reliable?

My Canik Prime Radin should be in my hands on the next week and never cared for the base holsters they ship with them.

Tultster has a pre-order up for them but I've never used a holster from them, thoughts on them?

Or Muddy River?

Or wait for other companies to catch up?

Thank you

Time to assemble new Mete lower frame because old one started to delaminate!

Long story short:
After range day and during cleaning Canik Mete SFT Pro revealed plastic chips everywhere and cracked ejector assembly. Lovely, gun was 11 months old and about 1100 rounds fired so contacted Canik Customer Service and put reclamation to gun shop as well.

After one+ month of waiting, Canik support finally answered:
"Excess polymer from manufacturing process, no fault, not under warranty"

And to be fair, I am not the only one with this issue regarding ejector assembly regarding previous posts! So if You have Mete Series with polymer ejector assembly, please check it for delamination and cracking! (I still continued to use the weapon for 2 years after defect was found and the ejector delamination got worse and started to destroy the frame as well. If ejector assembly would have been replaced in day one, I think everything would have been ok but no parts available)

Oh well, little bit of goodwill from gunshop, new lower frame with discount and all of needed parts (and Rival S red color kit for magwell and slide release, etc). Found out even a little trick with the trigger / trigger bar pin installation by holding it in place with a plastic toothpick to hammer the pin home! And the magazine catch spring was a real pain in the ass to install!

Still like my Canik, but customers service and quality control took a dent from this ordeal (as well as my wallet). And new ejector assembly is made totally out of metal. Wonder why..

Canik TP9 SFX Mag problem

Hey so I got this Tp9sfx maybe a little under a year ago and I havent put many rounds through it causenive been away but ive been shooting it recently and been running into this issue. to test if my issue is mechanical and not me just shooting wrong i put three bullets in the mag and shot them. the first bullet chambered fine and shot. but when i shot the second the mag fell and didnt rack the second bullet. so i put the mag back and racked and shot. then the mag fell again and didnt rack the last bullet so i put the mag back in and racked. then shot and the slide didnt catch and the mag didnt drop that time.

If anyone has any idea why this is happening please let me know cause this is my fav gun its just being a pain in the butt lol.

MC9LS magazines

I’m in California and yes, I know, only mags I can’t obtain are 10rnd mags.
With that out of the way, I’m having a difficult time finding MC9LS magazines. It’s frustrating only having what it came with. Anyone know of any sites that that ship to California? I’ve tried purchasing from CanikUSA but they don’t seem to ship my way.

Left-handed shooters

A few months ago, I asked if there were any good options for left-handed thumb rest/gas pedals, and nothing quite satisfied what I was after. That being said, I just purchased a regular right-handed Align Tactical locking block thumb rest. Im planning on taking this to some of my local machine shops and having them reproduce this, but mirrored. I figured there might be some people interested in having one themselves, considering this fits the TTI/Rival/METE. If this is something you'd be interested in, let me know, and I'll keep you posted on potential prices.

Prime Radian

Took a month off from competing so I was glad to knock off the rust. I was excited to see how the prime radian held up in USPSA and it did not disappoint. Canik gave us a gun that shoots like a BB gun 😂🔥

Got my new baby all decked out!

Went through and fixed up my new Canik METE sft.

Streamlight TLR-1 HR and a Swampfox Kraken with a DPP adapter plate. I really like the stock magwell, so I left that alone.I have enjoyed my TP9 SFx for a few years. Im sure I'll enjoy this one just as much!

Is it me or are my front sights off center?

I noticed that the range today I’d be consistently shooting straight to the left about 4 inches from 15 yards.

Had my friend shoot it in the same thing happened

I went home and noticed from the top view. The iron sites don’t line up with the very top middle port. Other then that it’s hard to tell without having a caliper.

I am delighted to join the Canik scene. Got this new for only $500 😤

I've had a recent falling out with Glocks. Yes they're reliable, but way too overpriced in my opinion. For example, I went to mount a Holosun EPS carry on my G43X MOS and realized that my iron sights would not be able to co-witness with the dot. I then realized that my CZ P10-C was able to co-witness with a Holosun EPS with the OEM iron sights, it felt better to shoot, and was only $425 new vs $484 for a new G43X (or $620 if you want a new Gen 6 🤪). If my main compact 9mm can beat the legendary Glock 19 (in my opinion of course), then I was sure there was a challenger for the G43X.

Anyways, I went to the range to try out some some different options (Sig P365Xl, Hellcat Pro, Shield plus) but I wasn't feeling any of them. I was about to leave when one of the employees recommended checking out the Canik TP9 Elite (SC). I thought it was the best gun I had shot that night, but the grip was too short. He suggested trying out an MC9LS if I wanted something with a longer grip and was more slim (like the G43X). I managed to meet up with a friend of a friend and shot his. I knew immediately this could be the gun to replace the Glock. It had a way better trigger, the ergo's were fantastic, and the grip was solid for a gun that was optic ready and as low as $384 on some websites via gun.deals (great resource btw), while the G43X MOS was $484 on the low end. Game set right? Well, I decided to look at the other Canik Models on their website for fun before ordering the MC9LS. I saw the MC9 Elite and liked the upgraded features but did not want a compensator on a ccw. But lo and behold, there was another MC9 Prime model with no comp. The employee at the range did not even know about this newer model. It looked good, but I did not think it justified the price increase to the MC9LS. But out of curiosity I searched gun.deals and found one listed for $500 with no comp. I thought this had to be a scam and went to the website. It was a legitimate business in Georgia with thousands of reviews. I still did not think there was any way I would get this gun at this price, but what the hell right? I placed the order. Once I got to my order confirmation, I went back to the guns page on that website and saw the MC9 Prime NC was now out of stock and would cost $590. I was sure that this meant my order would be canceled, as I had heard this had happened before for this business for some popular models. For the rest of that weekend, I was waiting to get an email from them saying they would actually not be able to fulfill my order. Again, I did not care and just thought I should give it a try. But after the weekend, I got am email stating it had shipped. I still thought there would be something messed up with this order when I picked it up from the FFL (such as them listing the comped version as the non-comped version). But sure enough it was the actual gun I ordered. What a great surprise man. The MC9LS already blew the G43X out of the water, but this thing could run laps on it. It was just as nice as the MC9LS and had an even nicer design. To all the Glock fans, I'm sorry but they just can not compete with so many other brands out there at an inflated price point. They'll always have clout for being the early innovators and reliable as hell, but companies like Canik, CZ, and S&W (respect to the Bodyguard 2.0 in the corner of the picture) show that you need to keep at it if you don't want to become a non-starter in the striker-fired handgun world.

TLDR: Got tired of the Glock 43X. Tried out MC9LS and loved it, but was able to get the MC9 Prime at an excellent deal. Now happy to be a Canik owner👍.

CANIK PRIME RADIAN SECURED!!!

The wait is finally over. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the last one. It’s so funny I walked in and the guy thought I was joking when I told him I was there to pick up my Canik prime radian since I snagged it online😂🙌🏼. This gun in my opinion is not “over hyped” it literally looks and speaks for itself I can’t wait to take this bad boy out on the range this weekend! I’ll keep y’all updated.

DIY Single Chunk Port on MC9 Prime

For those who have DIY’d a single chunk port to their MC9 Prime, would you recommend? Is there a substantial difference from the Canik’s original tri-port?

Considering doing this with a Dremel to keep me from wanting the Prime Radian 🥹🥲
