This sub gave me inspiration to try it out. Hydro mod , case dial and gradient filter
It was my first time modding a watch, or anything in general. I still think I could've done more with it, but I'm happy with the way it looks.
Like how this one came out... took ages to get the clean analogue area with clock still functional but worth 😅
Mods used:
-Red polarizing film on front
-Replacement rear polarizing film cut to size for analogue clock zone
-Matte silver vinyl over rear polarizer to bring the visibility back
-2 front decals frankensteined together I had laying around
-some faceplate text removal
-Hydromod with 350 sct silicone oil
Did these myself as gifts to two of my loved ones. The one on the left for my best friend and the one on the right for my woman.
Honestly, this was a challenge—especially being my first time, but fun and worth it at the end. The internet makes doing a half negative display sound/look easy though 😮💨 and it isn't in my opinion. Nonetheless,
hope you guys like the final results.
I filled in the engraving on the Skxmod satin case with testors gloss black enamel, added polished 20mm lug adaptors and an inexpensive president bracelet. Kinda works. Only thing left to do is the mesh display overlay but I’m not quite brave enough yet.
From the recent horror series of mods I just finished
This is my playful take on the Fallout TV show's PipBoy 3000 MkV. I originally wanted to put a bund behind a budget metal strap but I found it awkward after wearing a NATO strap on a G-Shock for years. Ripping the velcro makes me feel like I'm in gradeschool, but i can't deny the comfort!
Only downside of the mod is the reduced volume of the alarm sounds, but otherwise it's been a blast customizing this thing.
After trying a few different colourways, the yellow and green is my favourite so far. Next upgrade will be a black metallic case/ band and painting the lines around the circle display green.
Such a great watch to customise and make unique
Finally finished this build for a deadhead veteran buddy of mine. Minor miscommunication with my embroiderer resulted in one of the bears being under the watch. I told him that bear represents me and my disdain for his music. He's going through some shit with ALS so I was real glad to make this for him. Hope you all enjoy it. Happy 4th!
Ok I'm declaring this forehand yes this is AI generated because I just bought a royale and it hasn't arrived yet and I'm looking for a strap in the meantime.
I actually am looking for a strap which will complement the watch as well as go well with my skintone and I'm really overwhelmed with all these options.
Please help me choose a strap and thanks y'all in advance!
I added a hint of flair to my bronze ae1200 with a black bund strap from Vario. I know bund straps are polarizing, and I’m not normally a big fan, but I honestly think this might be the perfect use for one. The leather quality is great and the balance with the footprint of the case is nearly perfect. The SKXmod case is only about a week old and the vario strap showed up in the mail about an hour ago, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how this combo ages together. Let me know what you think! 🍻
My local Walmart has not had the Casio Royale in stock. Ever. So, naturally I’d like to buy one on Amazon but I’m worried about buying a fake. Is it an unnecessary worry? I vaguely remember some posts about fakes on Amazon.
I've admired the leather band upgrade and decided to give it a try. I've had several bands on my Royale including several NATO's, but I always went back to the OG strap. I'll give this one a try for a few days to see if it grows on me.
