Hi everyone! Wanted to create a post here for you all to come out and support my dad’s pizzeria! We started it about 2 years ago and have great reviews but have been struggling with visibility and growth!!

Would love for all of y’all to try our food! We have Indian Pizza, Wings, Churros, and I guarantee you it’s the best priced pizza you will find in Hayward!

We’re called Pizza Station in Hayward, right next to Lucky’s off 880 and 92! Posted some photos for y’all to check us out.

Volunteer at the Hayward Library

Dear Literacy Plus Volunteers,

We are looking for a few more volunteers to join us in supporting our growing ESL services! If you enjoy working with adult English language learners and meeting people from different cultures, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with:

  • English Conversation Circles**:** Wednesdays, 10:30–11:30 AM at Weeks Branch or 12:00–1:00 PM at Downtown Library
  • Basic English Class**:** Fridays, 10:30–11:30 AM at Downtown Library

No teaching experience is required. Training and teaching materials will be provided.

  • Commitment: 1–2 hours per week
  • Location: In person at Downtown or Weeks Branch
  • Minimum commitment: 6 months

As current Literacy Plus volunteers, you already have experience supporting adult learners, and your skills can make a real difference for our ESL learners as they build confidence and develop their English skills.

Join the Cal State East Bay Orchestra!

Community orchestra open to any adult who is at a high school level proficiency and above.

We welcome violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, mandolin, lute, oboe, clarinet, flute, bassoon, and percussion.

We have loaner instruments available and free tutoring for anyone feeling rusty on their instrument
Rehearsals start Aug 19 and meet every Wed from 7 - 8:40 pm at Cal State East Bay, Hayward.

There is no fee for this group and no audition.

The focus of the music for the class is pop, classical, rock, and adventuresome music. Lots of custom arrangements, and we play some video game music and movie music.

Neighborhood Cafe: Lady In Costume Who Sings?

My friends and I have been going to Neighborhood cafe at Three Crosses once a week for the last 4-5 weeks. Every time we go, there’s a woman there dressed in a historical costume — for example today she was dressed as an 1800s style queen or something.

We go on different days of the week so this leads me to believe she is probably there every day.

She’ll randomly break out into song & no one acknowledges it.

It looks like she’s on a call or maybe livestreaming. And I overhear her sometimes talking about politics & history.

So many time I’ve wanted to ask her what she’s doing but no matter how many hours I stay at the cafe (usually 4 hours) she doesn’t end her call, so I never want to interrupt.

So curious if anyone has ever asked her or knows how long she’s been there.

If you’ve seen her, you know what I’m talking about. If you havent, this probably just sounds like a fever dream.
