He’s got a Bongo addiction
Bunny the bobtail. 13.5 years old and still spry as a kitten up until last night. That's how I knew when something was wrong. She's so vocal. We talk to each other all day. She was silent when I woke up this morning though. Didn't lift her head. Opened her eyes and didn't move much. Didn't eat the treats I offered which sent alarm bells going and my heartrate spiking.
Anywho. It's liver damage and she's basically a cat dog and very sociable and strong so I believe she'll push through despite being 13.5. She is extremely healthy and this is her first major health scare. The vet seems very optimistic.
She threw up her food intact last night and we chalked it up to eating too fast since she loves food (we do scheduled wet and dry feeding). But this She sleeps in the closet next to the bed or on my pillow (steps on me to get there😅)...
Not trying to get points here or sympathy or whatever guys, just being real about things... this whole year (basically everything since July of last year and onwards) has been mostly a nightmare and a series of some of the most unfortunate events I could imagine.
So not too drone on or whatever but. I can't have human kids. Just isn't in the cards so this little cat is my kid and her brother left us both in July so. I'm not ready to say goodbye.
Thank you and bless you if you got this far. From me and my lil bunion ring 🐱🧅
Welp, now I have two bongo lovers. These are Ming's (tux) bongo chairs. It has been a daily ritual of ours for years. The new guy Stinky is less than a year old and has always been intrigued with the ritual, swatting at Ming from below or jumping up and interrupting it. And no he isn't trying to protect his brother, he's just a menace all the time
Well apparently he's a menace and a lover of bongos. Here is one of his first auditions. No fingers were lost in the making of this video.
She asks for this multiple times... EVERY. DAY.

This is April. My uncle was going to dump her in the snow a few months ago so my mom took her in. She's not much of a people cat. Very occasionally she will let my mom pet her or my sister in law, she's quite skittish. Just a few pets! If too many pets, you get the bite.
April let me get a few pets in a couple weeks ago, and I don't know what possessed me, but I gave her a bongo. She now jumps on the counter and demands bongos every time I visit. I then have to wipe down said counter. I cannot go near any raised surface without her appearing on it and demanding bongos.
And yet, at the end, a hiss? She immediately returned to demand more bongos. Not petting! I guess a hiss is better than a bite.
Me and April are still learning one another. I hope we can find the right bongo rhythm together.
