Hey! Chennai has been on a cafe-opening spree lately, and my "Want to Visit" list is growing faster than I can keep up. Every other week there's a new cafe or cute little spot that looks worth checking out. Add movies to that, and I'm always looking for an excuse to step out.

So, I'm looking for people around Chennai who enjoy exploring cafes, trying new places, watching movies, and don't mind the occasional spontaneous "Are u free in an hour?" plan. This is purely platonic just looking to make new friends with similar interests.

Bonus points if u appreciate good coffee, can spend hours talking about absolutely anything, or enjoy getting lost while exploring the city.

Looking for hobby electronists and college students for a personal build / project.

I've come across recently a wall-mounted board with individually addressable LEDs laid out to match a city's subway and train maps, where each LED lights up in real time to show exactly where trains are on the network right now. Data pulled live from the actual live published transport authority data feed. It's basically a living, glowing transit map you can hang on your wall. There already exists something similar already, and I'm hoping to improve upon it, obviously. If this goes well, I'd like to make a couple of units and gift it to friends.

What's in it for you? Obviously - I'd pay for all the resources you'd need. I'd support interesting experiments, and love to see where we can take this creatively. We can also come to an agreement on what your time spent on this is worth as well. I have a few more ideas around scaling/coordinating this but for anything around cost breakdowns, timelines, or actually coordinating a build group — best to message me directly.

Is there a cafe around Anna nagar that where people are watching the football game? Some games that start at 11:30pm or early in the morning seem doable time wise.

I'm currently in my 8th semester of B.Pharm and really need to lock in for my upcoming university exams and MBA Entrance Exams. I'm planning to start hitting up either the Anna Centenary Library or Connemara Library on a regular basis to get some serious, focused hours in.

Is anyone else here going to either of these libraries regularly? I’m looking for a study buddy or accountability partner to help keep the momentum going and avoid procrastinating.

We definitely don't need to be studying the same subjects whether you're prepping for UPSC, college exams, or just working on your own projects, it would just be great to have someone to share a table with, keep each other off our phones, and take strategic coffee breaks.
