Vote Smart. Vote Yoosefi!
Hi. My name is Chris Yoosefi, Im running for city council.
I’ve noticed a few things over this cycle and Im bringing it to light. We are a divided city and we have polarizing candidates. On the progressive side you have Mike, Nikki and Nolan and on the right you have David, Wick and Waltman. We have other candidates but they don’t appear to be as active and then you have me. I consider myself the voice of reason and that’s why asking for your Vote for the 3rd chair. Here is why:
Like it or not, David has a following and money. He is loud and has support. He may very well win a seat. Of the three progressives you may likely only get two max and while that may seem like a plus because the dais is weighed to your favor there will be push back from Rizotti and Donahue AND all their money which in turn will make things hard for the council to operate effectively.
Burbank needs a balanced dais. Burbank needs a voice that rides the line and that is me. Im not beholden to endorsers, nor have I really sought them out, I understand both sides and will bring that understanding and gray thinking to the dais. I will be the reason and bridge the gap to make things work for the citizens of Burbank as a whole.

Quick stances:
Flock: No, but I do support police
ICE: No
BRT: Yes, just not Olive
Housing: Yes, but tastefully to keep our Burbank feel
Jobs: Yes and Im the only candidate with an actual plan for this
Rent: Needs to be stabilized, but a hard 3% is unreasonable and it won’t happen without a long and exhausting fight, however I can work with the BRA and find the middle ground without hostility. (Remember, the other side has levers they can pull too).
Im not a single issue candidate. Im a business owner and think outside the box. Burbank needs a third seat that will work for all people, not just the ones with the loudest voice. Im the bridge in this election.
Vote smart and think of the bigger picture. Vote Yoosefi on November 3rd (and the two others of your choice).
