BCBS SETTLEMENT PAYOUT

Out of pocket for the whole coverage period I paid a little over $58k and got my check for $282.01

Also pretty sure they low balled my premiums for all of these years

BCBS Settlement Question

Did anyone who received the “you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to redeem the card” on May 15th get the email on how to do that yet?

When I check the payment site, it still shows processing and that it is the initial payment.

I did the various calculations that are throughout the Reddit posts regarding this settlement and thought I was getting about $198.00. I used three of the calculation types and came up with around the same amount all three times. The payment site seems to be saying I am getting more than $200.00. I paid about 37k over four years in premiums. There was no ASO.

BCBS Payout Update - My Experience w/ Dates

My settlement payment just came in. I've been lurking here for awhile, but I thought I would post my recent experience with the BCBS settlement, including dates so if anyone wants to gauge their payouts by mine they can. Obviously, ymmv. All times are central time zone. My premium amounts did not change at any time nor did I dispute them.

$189,505.47 in Premiums ($0 ASO)

$914.06 settlement payment

Approximately 0.48% return on premiums

2/5/2025 - 11:51 AM - Claim Notice Email Received - I selected electronic debit card

2/17/2026 - 12:50 PM - Notification email of valid claim to be paid in May 2026

5/14/2026 - 12:35 PM - Payment notice email that payment is coming in May 2026

5/20/2026 - 10:23 AM - Received electronic debit card email with payment

I hope this helpful/informative to those of you still waiting on your payments. My emails seemed to come a week or two later than the first waves of each distribution.

BCBS Settlement

Is there a place where I can find out how they calculated my payout? I have my claim # and unique ID but can’t find anything but that my payment is processing on the settlement site. The amount I got seems …. high (compared to what many people are reporting.) Not complaining but confused.

I got the payment finally, never dealt with prepaid Visa cards before. Tried converting to PayPal and Venmo with no luck, how’s the best way that you converted it to get to your bank account?
