Spicy beef noodle soup

Looking for a really good spicy beef noodle soup with flat rice noodles in Houston. Specifically not pho-style rice noodles - I’m looking for flat rice noodles. Bonus points if the broth is actually spicy and super flavorful. Looking for places in Houston or Clear Lake area.

CCISD for autistic child

My family and I currently live in Mont Belvieu and our child goes to Barbers hill and they are in the PPCD program (pre school program for children with disabilities) based on speech delay and autism spectrum. We love the program, but not so much the district. By the time they’re in elementary school (1st grade) they may just be in general education with some accommodations of an aide. I’m wondering which schools would be the best fit in CCISD for a child like this? Born and raised in barbers hill and a B rating on a campus freaks me out a little bit…but we love the area so much and are wondering if there’s more out here. Any recommendations, tips, suggestions!? We live in a more established neighbor now and is what we would probably look for in the clear lake league city area too.

Setting up bird houses - success?

Interested in setting up a nice ecosystem for the birds in our backyard. Any lessons any of you have picked up for the birds in our region? Also, any of you have had a chance to successfully get bluebirds to nests in your birdhouses?

Nicest apartments?

Have to move for husband work and to escape a financially and emotionally abusive situation. We have a few apartments picked to contact, but so many reviews on even the well rated ones mention roaches, rats, and/or water damage.

Anyone willing to share their stories? Am I allowed to list the places we're considering? If he gets the raise we're expecting in October we wouldn't need to stay more than a year if it isn't perfect, I just need safe, for our child, for at least one year.

Seeking Type One Diabetes Friend (5-7 years old)

My six year old son has type one diabetes and he wants to find a friend who also has it, someone about his age, boy or girl. He said he's tired of being the only one.

We live near UHCL.

Feel free to send a private message instead of sharing here.

Are there any NY deli's like Katz's in Clear Lake?

I wish we had a Katz's down here. I don't know why we don't as it seems there'd be plenty of business for it. But is there any NY deli places here?

The Haven on Buoy

Hi! I’m moving to the Webster/ Clear Lake/ League City area and was thinking of signing at The Haven on Buoy apartments. Went there myself and while it wasn’t perfect it good enough since I’m wanting to save money. I just read some reviews on Google and it’s all horror stories. I’m a little scared now because I saw several reviews mentioning mold and extremely high utility bills ($400). I’ve dealt with mold in the process and experienced health issues related to mold in the past and don’t want a repeat. Please let me know your experience with the Haven or other apartments that are nicer.
