Family Law Clio Tips

Hi everyone! I am a family law attorney that uses Clio and I am trying to take a hard look at all of my processes and see what I can do to help streamline things and provide quality of life improvements. Is there anything that you have done that made a noticeable improvement for you?

Never set up MFA, now it’s requiring it…

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Clio Support seems designed to keep you from talking to anyone. Far cry from when they started out and I couldn’t get them to leave me alone. Anyone have a good number to talk to a human? TIA!

Clio and File Explorer PC

I’m a sole practitioner with no direct IT support. I use Clio Manage. On my old pc when I was saving an attachment from an email I used File explorer to move into the Clio Matters folder Microsoft One Drive for Business. It worked very well as I could easily put the attachment in the proper sub folder

With my new Pc, saving an attachment defaults to Clio Contacts. I have to sift through many contacts to click on that and then click on Matter folder. And because I have more than 2000 contacts the vast majority who don’t have matters. Clio kicks me into the desktop app.

I can save attachments with the File to Clio in Outlook. The attachments show up in the Documents Folder and not One Drive for Business. I then have to figure out how to move them over so I don’t have to look in both places.

Clio support insists that the default is to Contacts and not Matters (despite me sending them a screenshot from my old computer with the matters as the default).

If anyone has any solutions or if I’m missing an easy work around, please let me know
