Abarat Absolute Midnight
Came home from lunch today to this amazing surprise from my husband! I've been searching for this book for quite a while, but I've never been able to find it in good shape and for under $100. Score!!
Cackling at this review by Clive Barker for Hellraiser: Revelations 🤣
Recent additions to my collection
Joint eBay and Half Price Books finds. I’ve only read Books of Blood 1 & 5 and The Thief of Always so far, but I’m slowly collecting everything.
Audiobooks
Hello Barker fans
For those of you who enjoy listening to his work, where do you buy audiobooks from?
I found the list on the info section of the website but for the life of me can't find anywhere that's selling them.
Would looking using a VpN help? I don't want to sail on the high seas to obtain these, I would like to purchase them officially.
Any guidance you have would be so appreciated. I'd love to replicate my collection in audiobooks if possible.
Thanks fam!
Where does his imagination come from??
I just finished Thief of Always. I have also read Imajica, Books if Blood 1, and Hellbound Heart. I am so blown away by Clives creativity. It's seriously unmatched. The way he can craft all these creatures and worlds. Not to mention his artwork is brilliant as well.
Such a talented man!! 👏
Now what should I read next? I know he has quite a collection. Might finish the Books of Blood. Recommendations for authors with a similar vibe would be great too. I'm on the fence about reading Neil Gaiman( he's not a great human), but if the stories absolutely amazing I guess I could give it a try. -- love the art, not the artist.
Hapexamendios was right (partly)
Just reading Imajica again and occurred to me, with the state of humanity right now, the other dominions would be better off to stay disconnected from us, we'd only ruin everything. The Unbeheld did them a favor cutting them off.
The damnation game
About 120 pages in, just about finished part 2, and this book is freaking excellent so far....
The way it just keeps you teetering on the edge of actually knowing whats going on, just giving you little bits of info at a time that both give you more info and bewilder you a bit at the same time is making for an extremely captivating read so far
And his pros, not quite as amazing as his later books but like
"Legendary nowhere, beside which every other dark was blindingly bright, every other dispare a mere flirtation with the pit, not the pit itself"
