Does HR call before sending an offer letter?

And what if someone has missed that call will they still receive Offer Letter or not?

Because many times my phone rejects calls from numbers which are flagged

Pass not generated

my ob pass is not generated yet my doj is 9th july and i haven't received any correction mail also is there any chances of generating it today till night or not please tell !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cognizant Off-Campus PAT 2025 | BGV stuck at 50% ("Data sent for approval") | DOJ 21 July | Anyone faced this?

Hi everyone,

I'm an off-campus Programmer Analyst Trainee (PAT) 2025 candidate with a DOJ of 21 July, and I'm looking for advice from anyone who has gone through a similar onboarding process.

Timeline

  • Received my LOI in February 2026.
  • Received my Offer Letter at the end of June after waiting several months.
  • Received access to the Background Verification (BGV) portal and uploaded all the required documents within 3 days (the deadline was 7 days).
  • Later, I was asked to:
    • Upload my Passport + Citizenship + Voter ID together as a single PDF in the Passport section.
    • Correct my house number.
  • I completed these changes on 2 July.
  • On 3 July, I received another email with a blank checklist, but the email clearly mentioned that if the checklist/table is blank, I should ignore the email.
  • I also completed all my Pre-Joining Formalities before the required deadline and received the "Thank you for Completing Pre-Joining Formalities" email on 5 July.

Current Status

When I checked the backend Inspect/API response, it shows:

  • ✅ Offer Acceptance – 100%
  • ⏳ Background Verification – 50%
    • Status: "Data has been sent for approval."
  • Pre-Joining Forms – 1%
  • Onboarding – 0%

I have already:

  • Raised a support query through the portal.
  • Contacted my recruiter through email and LinkedIn (no response yet).
  • Attended the onboarding/helpdesk sessions, but since I'm an off-campus candidate, I was advised to raise a support query through the portal, which I had already done.

My DOJ is approaching, and I'm getting worried because I've heard from a few candidates that if the BGV approval is delayed, the DOJ may also get postponed.

My Questions

  1. Has anyone else's BGV remained at 50% with the status "Data sent for approval" for a long time?
  2. After BGV approval, did your status change to "Good to go for onboarding" before your Onboarding Pass was generated?
  3. Did anyone receive their Onboarding Pass while BGV was still showing 50%, or does it always have to be completed first?
  4. Did your DOJ get postponed because of this, or did everything get approved automatically?
  5. Is there anything else I should do, or should I simply wait for the internal approval process?

I've attached the Inspect/API screenshot for reference.

Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Anyone else with an April 1st LOI still waiting for Cognizant Offer Letter? (Analyst Trainee / CIS)

Hey everyone,

I’m reaching out to see if there’s anyone else in the same boat as me.

I cleared all 3 interview rounds for the Analyst Trainee (AT) role with Cognizant and received my Letter of Intent (LOI) back on April 1st. During the interviews, it was explicitly discussed that I’d be aligned to the CIS (Cloud & Infrastructure Services) track, though my final interview loop was tagged under generic IT.

I’ve been tracking the recent rollouts, and I saw that some candidates from late March (like March 10th, 18th, and 24th) got their updates around June 21st. On top of that, I know some candidates who received their LOIs all the way back on February 27th have also finally started getting their formal Offer Letters recently, with Dates of Joining (DOJ) scheduled all the way up to July 21st.

It looks like they are slowly moving chronologically, but a lot of March and April cohorts are still completely in the dark.

Is there anyone else here with an April 1st LOI (or late March) who is still waiting? Or has anyone from the CIS/Cloud track received their OL or DOJ recently?

The wait is getting pretty exhausting, so just trying to see where the system queue is at right now. Drop your LOI dates or any updates you’ve heard from your campus below. Thanks!

Waiting for OL !!!!

Guyss I received my LOI on Nov 4 (python cluster Genc on campus ) still no response...some of my college mates received internship OL on Feb and March.

still no response for us ... Anyone knows about upcoming OL please comment if you know anything ...

7th July Chennai DOJ - No Onboarding Pass Yet | Anyone else?

Hey everyone,

I'm a 2026 Cognizant campus hire with a DOJ of 7th July (Chennai).

I was initially unable to complete my pre-joining formalities because the EPFO portal was under maintenance. As soon as it came back online on 4th July, I generated my UAN and completed all my pre-joining formalities. My portal now shows 18/18 tasks completed, and my joining date is still 7th July.

However, I still haven't received my onboarding pass.

Is anyone else with a 7th July Chennai joining in the same situation? Have any of you received your onboarding pass yet?

Also, has anyone ever received their onboarding pass on a Sunday? Or are they usually generated only on working days?

are there any possibilities that I could get my onboarding pass on or before DOJ?

I missed my internship cuz I was doing somewhere else, I mailed hr regarding this he said we will onboard you as non intern fte, i mailed him again recently cuz it's been 3 months no update but received same business requirements mail is there anyone who is waiting for ol in same non intern fte category would like to connect

Cognizant ACE Results: How long are candidates expected to wait without any communication?

Many of us completed our Cognizant ACE technical interviews weeks ago, some even over a month ago, and we're still waiting with no result, no rejection, no selection, and no official timeline.

The delay isn't the biggest problem—the complete lack of communication is.

Thousands of students have other offers, joining dates, and career decisions pending. A simple email saying "Results are delayed and will be announced by X date" would save candidates from weeks of uncertainty.

If any Cognizant HR or recruitment team sees this, please provide an official update. Candidates deserve transparency after investing so much time in your hiring process.
