What’s up everybody, just wanted to share a recent eBay pickup. New in box ‘96-‘97 clip point voyager xl serrated. The seller also has 2 medium clip point voyagers still up if anyone is interested. This thing is mint and awesome
I like the shape of the scales, looks like it would provide a good grip when pulling it straight up and out, but more than that, I'm new to fixed blades and Cold Steel is a brand I trust. (as weird as that may sound).
Range boss is my favorite edc. Very slim, lightweight and large thick blade with a full flat grind. No fancy steel but very affordable. Only thing i disliked was the lack of a fingerguard. Now thats fixed i can close the knife one handed without having to worry about the edge hitting my finger. Im excited to do more modding to my knives. Whats knives have yall modded?
I EDC the Rajah II & Tiger Claw normally. Not pictured: Voyager XL Tanto (car knife), FGX ring dagger
Frenzy
Voyager XL Vaquero serrated
FGX Safemaker
Safemaker I
Holdout
Espada XL
Recon Tanto
SRK
OSS (just acquired)
not bad for 38 bucks. I always regretted selling my aus 8 one.
I bought a cold steel trailer master and one of the reviews likes the knife but says to not use the included secure ex sheath. To purchase a separate kytex sheath.
Why? I can, its not a big deal, just curious what's wrong with the included one.
Thank you!
So i have a buck 112 and 110 slim select knives and while they've both done everything I've needed i hate the handle flex I'm getting using them. Looking for a stronger folder that's in the 3 to 3.5 inch category that has very little to no handle flex. Thanks
I've been a cold steel fan my entire life, my dad got me the mini pal when I was about 16, the 13a went to Iraq in the first Gulf War and saved my life once, the Ti lite was first knife I bought myself when I got my first job, my recons and srk have done a lot of hard work. I'm a tad embarrassed to admit how much these knives mean to me.
To those who own FGX blades, have you tried fashioning your own sheath for them?
I wanted to carry my Skean Dhu since it'll never rust, but I can't safely do it. I've been looking at improvising to make a poor man's kydex sheath out of an empty shampoo bottle. If you have ideas, please share them. Thanks!
Finally got them all together for a family photo. They are in order of purchase from top to bottom. Although the drop point was the last purchased, it might be my favorite, tough call between the drop and vaquero.
NKD with the xl to match my old medium. The large was purchased last year and I still love it.
I ordered a clone from Aliexpress and the quality is not there, but the logo is...
Hey guys, just wanted to throw up a recent experience I had with the new recon m1 in magnacut. I’ve owned several recon 1s in the past and was excited to try the new version in magnacut despite what I had seen written by some other reddit users about the knives. Unfortunately my experience was the same as others. Very gritty action and a poorly sharpened blade. the flat black dlc is in my opinion much less attractive than the regular shiny dlc and the blade is shorter than on the standard clip point recon 1. I ended up returning the knife and ordered another regular clip point recon 1 instead. If you decide to try out the recon m1 I recommend using a retailer with a good return policy.
S35 alu handles action is butter !!
