MEDYO LONG RANT AHEAD… Went to Daniel Caesar’s Son of Spergy concert in Manila for day 2 and i’m not even exaggerating, it’s the worst concert that I ever went to in my entire life. I’ve been a very active concert goer and went to a number of concerts both here in Manila and as well as some international concerts in Asia. Saw different acts like SVT, Olivia R, Blackpink, Tyler the Creator, COJ, Twice, CAS, Niki, Beabadoobee (and many more) and holy shit, this concert was so fucking disappointing compared to these acts. I was already seeing comments on how day 1 was bitin daw and I was so surprised na the next day would be so much worse. He literally left in the middle of the performance, cut his set short, and was drinking the entire time. Don’t get me wrong, I knew that there were comments about his performances na being always like this but I always thought na it would be worth it naman kasi I really just wanted to be there for the vibes and to be able to listen to his music live kaso wala, nothing could make up for whatever that performance was. I was so excited too kasi I’m watching with my GF and I really wanted to listen to Get You live with her bc it was the song that we soft launched each other to (corny ik hahahaha i’m not sorry lol) pero girl, he barely sang the entire song and made the crowd sing it. Ig the only good thing about the night was us realizing we’re glad we didn’t waste that much money and bother getting floor tickets lol everyone was disappointed and could not believe na his show ended na. All he said was “Love u Manila” and then dipped. We sat there for so long because we thought he was gonna come out again, but no.

Don’t get me wrong, his voice was amazing and all pero grabe the performance was shit. Did not even bother interacting with fans that much and it felt like you were watching a fucking rehearsal for the concert instead of the concert itself. The camerawork is a bit questionable too. The vision was there, but it was a bit poorly executed. Parang ang rushed ng production sa totoo lang. I thought na maybe baka his songs are just really mellow and has different vibes lang compared to the other acts I go to pero hindi eh, artists like CAS and Niki are not even sobrang performance heavy pero I went out of their shows happy as fuck. The concert last night felt like a fever dream in a sense that you could not believe the bullfuckery that just happened in front of you. Sayang because it really influenced my perspective on him and his future shows, tapos this was our first time seeing him live pa.

Also just one quick #woke thought lang, me and my GF has been a big fan of predominantly female artists and it’s sad na male artists can get away with dogshit performances like these (as evident in DC managing to sell out 3 days when his last tour and show here in Manila had, though a bit better, similar reviews) but god forbid Twice loses energy after performing in a tour that has been going for so long or some of the BP girls misses a single step during a 2-3 hours concert when male artists can get away with such mediocre performance (this is his second stop so far sa entire tour btw). Y’all need to stop giving excuses for him and telling everyone na “ganyan talaga siya” and recognize na this is very disrespectful to his fans, especially when these fans are spending money to see you in this economy. Kudos to his backup singers though, they had such amazing voices and carried a lot of the songs performed.

I hope this post won’t get taken down considering I barely even go on reddit but holy crap, I really just wanted to rant bc what the fuck was that performance truly.

Hi! Will be attending a concert as SVIP, and I was wondering about the QN system by Live Nation PH for SM tickets.

I purchased two tickets under one transaction, but I noticed that they have different ticket IDs which I believe will be needed for QN registration; with this, may I ask if I have to register both tickets separately since they're under different ticket IDs? Or one QN is enough for two people as long as the tickets are under the same transaction/name?

i know (and i think we all know 😭) na madalas hassle ang concerts dito sa pinas. bukod sa mainit, mahaba pila, at siksikan — madalas sisi agad sa organizers. pero after going to A LOT of concerts, narealize ko din na minsan may small things din from concert goers na nakakadagdag sa gulo at bagal ng flow 😅

siguro napuno lang talaga ako nung d1 & d2 con ni Daniel Caesar kasi hassle nung strapping flow because of the fans 😭

ilang beses na sumisigaw yung kuya bouncer/marshalls na umatras sa line at mag one person at a time muna para bumilis, pero crowded padin sa harap.

sobrang gulo na nga ng sistema sa pinas 😭 kaya kahit small things lang na kaya nating gawin as concert goers, malaking tulong na para mas maayos flow ng events for everyone.

so might as well share a few tips para mapabilis tayo lahat on concert day 🫶🏻

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

DO NOT go super early if SEATED yung concert na pupuntahan niyo.

= if reserved seat naman siya at wala namang QN, hindi mo na need makipag unahan. naka reserve na seat mo sa ticket mismo.

hindi ka na nangalay, hindi ka pa nainip, hindi ka pa pinawisan 😭 mag ikot ka nalang muna sa mall then pasok ka nalang siguro around 30 mins before the con starts.

IF standing with QN naman:

make sure naka ready na agad yung QN mo + ticket mo.

= mas okay if chineck mo na QN mo BEFORE concert day. madalas pinopost naman siya few days before the con. usually need lang ticket ID & control number.

okay, let’s say meron ka nang PRINTED QN NUMBER. here’s what you can do para mas mabilis ang strapping:

• OPEN that paper already 😭 wag mo na hintayin yung taga strap pa mag bukas nung tupi. maliit na bagay pero malaking time saver siya. (may nakasabay ako grabe yung tupi hahhahahaha)

• tanggalin mo na agad ticket mo sa ticket holder/plastic before ka humarap sa staff para iaabot mo nalang agad.

• kabisaduhin mo na rin QN number mo 😭 para kapag tinanong ka, masasagot mo agad instead na hahanapin mo pa screenshot mo or mag tatanungan pa kayo ng friends mo sa harap.

What else?
= if may kasama kang family or friends, make sure na 1:1 na yung tickets niyo. hawak niyo na sarili niyong tickets.

mas mabilis kasi derederetso nalang yung flow.
madalas kasi yung “kasama ko siya” 😭 okay gets, pero 1:1 padin ang strapping. mas bumabagal kapag sabay sabay kayo nasa harap nung staff. mainit na nga at siksikan pa.

better if mag antay nalang yung iba sa line tapos tatawagin nalang yung next person.

small things lang siya pero malaking tulong talaga para mas mabilis yung flow for everyone 🫶🏻

We got Ella Mai tickets during the pre-sale, but I just received an email saying the show was supposedly cancelled and that we’d be refunded. Checked my account and refunded na nga. 😅

I confirmed with Insignia Presents and they said the show is NOT cancelled. Anybody here experiencing the same issue? Check your junk/spam emails too haha.

So I'm going to the Laufey Concert next week (humble brag) But the problem is initially I was gonna go alone but then my dad told me that his officemate's child is coming too and since she's a minor I could accompany her. I have seen posts about people meeting up inside with friends with different QN but I just want to ask what's the protocol when with a minor do we follow her QN in entering or mine or whichever ones lower. Thanks
