Free Construction simulator, I got it in a Humble Bundle

Basically the title, I don't play this type of game and wanted to see if a construction enthusiast would like it.

Anyone else bothered by the minor construction issues in the game?

Listen, I get it, it is a game and they needed content to put in that did not require being out of a vehicle...but I have been in and around construction in some form all my life and some of this stuff is low key bugging me lol.

In some cases I have actually learned some things about large commercial type jobs and equipment and I think that is cool and could be good for young people who know a lot less than I do...but then you got things like using a tower crane and prefab walls to put up a garage? I have NEVER seen a tower style crane used on a residential build. How about a large truck crane to lay some sewer pipe? I am pretty sure no one uses 8" concrete for sewer lol. I could see if we were doing 48" RCP or something then yeah haul away.

The one that is really irking me at the moment is the prefab wood frame walls supporting CONCRETE floors. I mean maybe it is done in some places for a single story small space but I just poured the third floor of the Hotel on Europe map solid concrete and all three floors of walls are made of wood. I mean they have the process of forming and pouring concrete walls for the basement...they could have continued that...or instead of wood just use tilt-up concrete walls. Ideally it should have been a bunch of lam or steel I-beams laid in then crane the supply of plywood for the auto install of the subfloor. I am also highly surprised I have not used a mobile crane to set a ton of roof trusses on the smaller stuff.

One final bit of nonsense...drywall on the outside of the prefab walls? Really? The art department couldn't do some OSB with house wrap or even the chicken wire set up for Stucco? Could have had us deliver a dozen pallets of stucco around the building...or bricks and sand and whatnot.

Anyway, just sort of venting...not a big deal...game still works, just a might misleading for the unknowing.

EDIT to add another one I just thought of. I don't think I have ever seen concrete ceiling forms crafted on the ground and then hoisted into place. It might be possible that some other countries do something like that but even in video form, never seen it. How exactly are they supposed to get those bottom surfaces back out after the pour when they span the walls? Only thing I could come up with is maybe they don't and we jus aren't seeing the layer of plaster or whatever they add to it. It sure looks like bare concrete ceiling after the pour is done though. When you look before you pour there are panels,

Backhoe trailer?

Anyone else feel like they missed out on a small trailer made to carry the small backhoe or other small equipment that could be towed by a dump truck or one of the pick up trucks?

I do...I see these combinations all over town where I live. It would have been particularly fitting for the early game when they give you the cargo truck and the backhoe...first purchase would be the trailer to tow it with...

Vehicle repair while stored

Do the vehicles only get repaired/fueled at home base when "stored" inside the building (not visible) and not stored in the parking lot?

In other words, if everything I own is on display outside then the bonus percentages for repair mechanic and fuel in the upgrades isn't doing anything?
