Armpit Fat?

Hi there! Unsure if this is the right place to post, but I’m kind of desperate!

I got an outfit that has a lace up back as the bodice, and it’s given me armpit fat! This is an issue that I’ve never had :(

Do you think that a corset could help rectify this? Thanks in advance!

What Katie did … not fit

The WKD demi corset doesn’t fit after I bought the size they recommend by email…. This is a UK10. The listed measurements are online but they’re a little more variable than usually since this is a stretch mesh.

I’m worried that going up one size will be too loose on hip. And on waist.. My dimensions are 29, 26, 30.

Anyone had luck with this or the Merry Widow? I’m only after a reduction of about 2 inches.

Mars the label corset alteration

Hi! I recently got the Mars the label Everly corset in a uk 10 with d-f cup sizing.
The cup size fits me fine but the waist is not cinched in enough. I've got the corset on as tight as possible but still, i would want it tighter for a good hourglass shape.

I've thought of adding extra grommets so that i can pull it tighter but where i need the holes to be is where the boning of the corset is.
I wanted to take the corset in a bit by sewing it but im worried it will make the top tighter which i do not want.

is there anyway to make the waist smaller but keep the top the same size? all help welcomed

Looking for advice

***edit i mean overbust i currently have an underbust

I found a wrap binding if all else fails

I am looking into chest binder options. Currently wearing an AE corset also. Would an underbust be a good option to do both things? I have no info on either. I was suggested tape but i have alpha gal and alot of adhesives cause reactions.

I love my corset and wondering if that could pull off both options. And also suggestions on where to purchase a quality corset possibly custom makers. I wear mine on a regular out so thats not an issue. Thank you

Or info on where to better ask this question

Fit issues with corset

My natural waist is 31 inches and i have a libby in a size 24, i am able to lace down to a 1 inch gap fairly comfortably throughout most of the corset (with a 1 inch gap the corset should soposedly perfectly match my messurements)

however when i try to make the hips of the corset flush to my own and only then my left hip goes numb and im physically unable to make it flush (the numbness goes away almost immediately after loosening) my guess is that the turn towards my ilyac crest isnt sharp enough or a bone is pressing in a weird spot,

Does anyone have suggestions on alterations if its possible to alter

Questions from a noob

I (55, male, 6’, 245 lbs, 40” waist, long torso, 46” under bust) bought my first corset in January of this year at a comic con. The dealer helped me into and I instantly knew it was for me. Since then, due to an older shoulder injury I haven’t worn it again. I don’t have anyone on my life to ask (married with a non participating wife). Now, the questions:

  1. And tips, tricks, or gadgets to help me wearing it properly?
  2. I’d like a beginner corset/shapewear item to wear under my male clothes at work, where I sit at a desk most of the day. Any suggestions?
  3. What do you wear under your everyday corsets, ie cami, etc?
  4. Tall persons, where do you get your longer non-holdup stockings? I want them right up there to the top of the thigh, if possible.

Thanks to everyone and for accepting me into this group❤️

Stealthing with an active job

I’m super new to corset wearing. I have three compressed discs and may have acquired a fourth. I am working with my doctor on that (several drs actually). I’ve heard great things about wearing a corset to help with back pain in general.

I’ve got a few fun ones that I mainly have worn for the ren fair etc… I’m looking for one that I can wear comfortably for support, to stop wearing a bra, and maybe it’ll help me in other ways. I bought an off the rack I expected to help but I can absolutely see the evidence through any and all clothing.

I’m looking for a custom made that I can get with the maker for custom measurements in person etc.. or any other help yall can provide. I’m in the DMV area of the US.

Edit: almost forgot to add. I have a pretty active job. I’m on and off the floor all day, lifting 25 to 30lbs alone or heavier things (by hand) with help. As well as working with resistance in my upper body. I require something that will be comfortable, allow for moment and supportive of back/breasts.

How bad is it...?

Im sorry for the picture quality and the fact it's so poorly laced - I've struggled a lot.

I've got a corset - it's my second one and I'm sad because I don't think it fits. On one side, the laces are parael - which is good - and also it *could* fit if I somehow laced tighter. Its second hand, so I can't directly return it. Should I try to resell it?

I can't decide on a size, help

I tried doing the whole thing of emailing Mystic City to get their advice on a size, but I never got a reply so Im really lost. This is my first corset so I dont understand how much of this works. This is why I never order clothes online 😒

I want to get their MCC-68 sport mesh but I'm worried it's too tall (~4'11) and I can't decide on what I should get. My underbust is 30", waist 29" (but it can squish down A LOT), hips 40"

Im worried if I go off of my hips, itll be too big on the rest, but if I go off the underbust itll be too tight. Any help is appreciated.

Well I finally did it - GetWaisted Is coming - An app for tracking your waist training journey and inventorying your corsets

I’m in the process of developing an app that will enter testing in the next few months. The app will focus on corset waist training. Specifically measurement and time tracking, progress charts, progress photos, journaling, a corset collection tracker and hopefully more as needed. The app will also have a timer so when you are waist training you can simply hit start when you begin and stop when you take the corset off. There will also be manual entry methods as well.

If anyone has any feedback, comments, or questions I would absolutely love to hear them.

If you want to fill out my form and sign up for the email list when I announce testing here is the link:

question, what furniture did people in a corset use back in the day to lounge around?

title. basically wondering how folks lounged in a corset. I'm sure they didn't just stand or sit up straight the whole time in corset, and so would need to change anytime to just lounge a bit right?

like as much as I enjoy wearing a corset and find it to be comfortable, I am yet to find a comfortable way to just read a book. I typically just lounge in my bed, either on my side or on my back, and just bend in the midriff, but in a corset you can't really do that, and that difficulty to lounge comfortably in a corset is hampering the ability to wear one more, also I'm just curious.

so what furniture did people historically use to accommodate life in a corset? for example I have noted some older furniture often featured a rather funky shape and that may be a part of it. like I saw one mention of using a chaise lounge where a lady would lay on it sideways, with her legs tucked up on the couch under her skirts, and that tube pillow they often come with would be right under the curve of the corset waist, and then the shoulders and such would be on the arm bit, and looking at it yeah I think that'd work, as you are in a lounged position now, so its a much better pose to read a book then sitting bolt upright, but notably your torso is square, so no issue with the corset, your torso is just leaned to the side, but its the whole thing, no bending.

and so yeah, what furniture was used, and what details about it accommodated the corset? like sure you can look up a 'chaise lounge' but they have all sorts of different shapes, and I imagine only some would have the right shape to support being in a corset, and its those details I'm curious on, so does anyone know about that? both historical, and just what you've found to work from your own experience? please and thank you
