I tried turning The Kids From Yesterday into a very simple, quiet piano version.
Not trying to copy the original — more like capturing the feeling in a stripped-down way.
I’d really appreciate your honest thoughts:
– Did it hold your attention, or did your mind drift?
– Were there moments that felt empty in a bad way?
– Did anything actually hit emotionally?
Just trying to understand what works and what doesn’t.
let me know what you think first time posting something like this :/
Hi never really had vocal lessons or anything but started singing later just wanna know how it sounds don’t really have many opinions other then friends which i don’t really trust if they being honest but yeah lmk :)
Versions of Cover Songs
I only recently heard the original The Battle of New Orleans by Jimmy Driftwood, which is longer and a little edgier than Johnny Horton’s cover. But it’s Hortons version that is most known and that others have in turn covered. Is there another song where a cover becomes the new standard that other acts copy?
Bring Me The Horizon — Chelsea Smile (vocal cover) pls listen? It would be really cool
hey all! I covered one of the best songs from Suicide Season.
I put a lot of effort into this, and it took a couple tries to get right lmfao (it’s one take) but I wanna share this with you all cos I feel like I owe it to my younger self.
Kind of stopped making covers randomly out of the blue. Mightve been due to teenage angst n that whole spew. I’m a bit rusty though but I will get it back. Just going to keep pumping these out until I’ve done em all

youtu.beOld Crow Medicine Show | Wagon Wheel (Cover by Killa Keezy)
I've played this one thousands of times over on guitar over the past, what is getting close to, 20 years now. That's wild to think about. Always fun to play around the camp fires though. Had fun with all the instruments on this one too.
Thanks for listening!

I uploaded my first cover to youtube and wanted to share it here too
If you have a spare minute, I’d love for you to check it out. I’m really looking for any feedback!
I made this cover using the isolate tracks from the rockband game so what you’re hearing is only my guitar
Thanks for listening!
Been a fan for years and finally recorded my own version. One take, no autotune, raw and real. Would love to hear what fellow fans think of the interpretation.
Question. Did you have a song where you sung the wrong lyrics to until someone corrected you?!
My cringiest was "Don't look back in anger" by Oasis. I used to sing "Her sold sign's away" (like she's just sold her house or something) until someone corrected me on FB. Total cringe.
An honourable mention is 'Pumping on the stereo' by Supergrass. Before I knew the title I was singing "Can you hear us humping on the stereo"
Double cringe.
Covering Zombie but scared to...advice?
Hello [potential?] Yungblud friends, I'm a 35-year-old "old man, I know." New poster but longtime fan!
I'm in a pickle. I am not a great singer, but I've been making music for 20 years as a guitarist and producer. I have had "Zombie" in my head, as many have, for about a year...and I want to cover it. The issue is that because I'm not good, obviously, I'm worried about sharing it. BUT it gets deeper.
I have disabilities, which change the way my voice sounds, and that almost instantly attracts people to attack and make fun of me. I have covers on my YouTube [Green Day songs, and I don't want to self-promote, so I'll share if someone asks.]
Should I just cover it? I've been a fan of Dom for years; my disability limits how people see me, so I don't really have friends, but I'm glad to finally post here.
All love!
