What am I missing? I don't know why but it doesn't feel completed. This is a rental so I cannot colour or change the walls or carpet or blinds. I am building a blanket ladder out of bamboo next for the white corner. But I dunno that area still feels unfinished. I do NOT want a sterile older persons room that feels cold or empty. I like having stuff and maximalism and the feel to be young adult and whimsical. think more Studio Ghibli x Cottage Core x cozy x Pokémon but young adult and whimsical and not minimalist like you see in magazines.

I really want to lean more into the cozy Studio Ghibli kind of feel. Using textiles, warm colours, warm lighting, natural materials, plants etc. I have tried to eliminate nearly all the plastic from the room as a result apart from the cat stairs I think.

The cords are a problem but hiding them isn't helping as we use the length of the cords fully each day. So I am having trouble using a cable tidy right now.

But, that white corner feels cold and empty to me.
