Looking for female singers like A-Mei

Hi sub. After listening to A-Mei's entire discography and sit on it for a few months, I have come to realize I like her voice alot.

Mainly what I really like is her 'rocker chick lite' voice and image. On the western pop/rock scale she is probably only half pop half rock. But her voice make her sound like she has alot more attitude than she really is.

So I am looking for recommendation of other Cpop/Jpop/Asianpop female singers who is in the similar space. I don't think rock is ever that popular in cpop anyway. Of the top of my head I can't think of any canto female singer. But I am open to all recommendation.

Can you help me find a song from an Instagram reel in Chinese?

I asked two friends who speak Mandarin Chinese to help me by searching the lyrics, tried Shazam (which gave me straight up wrong results), and tried asking the content creator, to no luck! The song is so catchy and I'd love to listen to it at the gym. Please help me find it!

Here's the link to the reel:

Im looking for a specific Album of an Artist from Taiwan

Hey Guys,

Im a 20 Year old Cd and Vinyl collector from Germany and recently i really got invested in cantopop and J-Pop. A few weeks ago i stumbled across the Song "uncontainable" by Annie (her name was the only thing i was able to make out from the Album cover, since i cant read mandarin/cantonese letters) on Youtube and found some other cool tracks of her. I really liked uncontainable especially and since then im looking for clues on where to find it across the Internet. Unfortunately i wasnt able to find a Physical copy of that album, and the western Streaming Services dont list that album at all in her discography even tough every other before and after this specific record of her seem to be avaiable. If anyone is aware of any website or Streaming service that might be not avaible or is unknown in Europe, please help me since i really got desperate by know. :.)

FYI i already tried to find a Cd or Vinyl release on Amazon, Ebay and Discogs and that are essentially the only possible distributors i know of. I searched for a digital release on Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud and Deezer.

I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me since i dont know what i could try anymore, and in case there is a taiwanese or chinese subbredit especially for music collectors could you share a link with me please?

Thanks for your Attention and greetings from Thuringia, Germany :)

At 16, she moved to Beijing to play in rock bands. Then came K-pop training, reality TV, and a long road back to rock music

I recently interviewed a Chinese indie musician named Zhong Ziyi, and her story felt like a fascinating glimpse into what growing up in China's independent music scene can look like.

She left home at 16 to move to Beijing, joined an all-girl rock band, spent years playing underground venues, later trained in Korea's idol system, appeared on a major music reality show, and eventually found her way back to songwriting and independent music.

One thing that stood out to me was how many times she came close to what most people would consider "success",yet the thing that kept pulling her forward was never fame or exposure, but simply making music.

I thought some people here might find her journey interesting as a window into China's indie scene and the experiences of musicians trying to build a career within it.
And if you're curious, I've also included her artist page here: Lay Lady Lay

popular chinese song suggestions

ni hao! I am a Chinese-American and (somewhat?) canto speaker, but am currently learning Mandarin. However, I would like to get into popular Chinese pop songs, as I only really only listen to English songs right now.

My favorite Mando-pop songs right now are 你好不好 (How Have You Been?) and 以後別做朋友 (The Distance of Love) by Eric Chou, and I haven't really found any other songs that I like as much as these.

I also grew up listening to Danny Chan songs, and although I enjoy them, I've learned that I like those 2 specific songs by Eric Chou the most so far. But, I will take mando-pop and canto-pop suggestions :))

Thank you !!
