Why were there so many emergency vehicles drive up the Angeles Crest Mountains last night (October 2) around 7PM?

we were driving back down from mt wilson just past 7pm last night. an ambulance passed by with lights flashing but no sirens. then a fire engine, and another, and another one drive up mountain the same way, no sirens but flashing lights are on. further down we pass by atleast a couple more, and eventually a police car, still with flashing lights but no sound. what happened? and why weren’t their sirens on?

Leslie's Pool Supplies Closing (La Crescenta-Montrose)

Just got wind of this and if you scroll down on the list of closing locations, ours is on the chopping block.

As for me, I'm not surprised as that store had very low traffic and figured the retailer was in financial trouble.

Edit - It might already be permanently closed because it's no longer listed on Google Maps anymore and there's a new appliance repair store listed in their previous location already.
