So unknowingly a friend set me a challenge, do a Cottagecore look, but make it goth. So lots of black, a flowy dress, all the accessories, some dark makeup up and here we are. Have I achieved it?

I mean what's more Cottagecore than a witches cottage in the woods?

Hi I'm Ella a gender-fluid forty-something, exploring my feminine side. I'm developing my alternative wardrobe. I like all things dark, spiky and shiny, which is turning me into a shopaholic. I'm a part time alt-baddie and full time cat lover, heavy music aficionado and general weirdo.

So I have this lovely pink dress and when I first got it a few months ago I tried some "cutesy" makeup looks, which is a little different from my usual style. What do we think about my progress since then?

So I'm looking for some feedback on my makeup from last weekend, I tried something new with my lip combo, by outlining in black before filling in with red and adding a lipgloss over the top. However, I think I need more primer as my complexion seems to still show acne scars through my foundation. Any pointers for this?

So I tried a little look yesterday with some gothic styled makeup, tried something new where I used eyeshadow as the primary base for winged eyes and not just the liquid eyeliner. I was also able to break out the purple sparkly matte lipgloss.
