I have state grant money, but not showing up on CSUF's end

Sorry, if this question has been asked before, but when should I see it reflected on CSUF's end? (The CalKids scholarship is a separate thing)

Why Are Payment Notices Sent Before Financial Aid Packages?

Why doesn't the Registrar send out payment notice emails after financial aid has been processed and students have received their financial aid packages? It would be far more reasonable and logical to do it that way. Is there no communication between the financial aid office and the office of the registrar?

Sending out payment notices before everyone has received their financial aid package is brutal, making students afraid and paranoid. Sometimes, all this bureaucracy just makes things less efficient than they need to be.

For all you people that "don't do politics" and didn't vote, look at politics actively doing you. 🤡

Should i be worried?

I know i’m getting something for fasfa but when i check the cal grant website i don’t see that i have been awarded anything at all? I’m worried as people say the fasfa should come out later but it seems yall can see how much you’re getting on the cal grant website already. Should i payment plan in the mean time?

Acct 301A

I’m going to be taking acct 301A fall semester, just wanted to know from previous students or alumni what is the best way to prepare or what book they use so I can use some time during summer to prepare.

For context I got an A in financial and managerial but I know intermediate is a whole different thing.

Thank you all in advance.🙏

Fall 2026 payment

Has anyone gotten an email (to their personal email) saying that fees are posted onto their account on the 29th but haven’t received any aid yet? Should we just wait a few more weeks?

Financial aid issue

It’s July and I still haven’t gotten my fa package. I also don’t have disrollment hold for it too. I checked my fasfa and it said that the latest correction was on June 12 and was successful processed on June 12. Which is weird because i turn it in on feb 22 and was successful processed beforehand too. I also checked my emails just in case I got notify that it got corrected again anytime on June but found nothing but confirmation about my fasfa of Feb 22. Even with the latest correction nothing major doesn’t seem to be changed because I still got the same student aid. Should I be worried or is everyone else dealing with the same issue?

Waiting For Admission… Still…

Hey guys, I’m STILL waiting on an admissions decision after almost a month and a half. I know I submitted super late (technically they’ve had my application since mid-April, but i didn’t know they needed more stuff from me until late May). I’m going for a CTVA MA for the Fall semester and this feels so late. The lady on the phone said they could take until 2 weeks before term starts which is not super helpful.

Recently my status passed from “office of admissions” to “graduate admissions” so i guess there’s hope there. How long did it take other people to hear back on a Grad admission after it passed to from admissions to the department?

I’m really stressing as I need to start planning for stuff for the year. Will I still be able to choose good courses? I’m honestly thinking about solidifying housing and then hoping someone can cover me if i’m not admitted… Please just lmk if you know anything or have any advice!!!!

Hi everyone, I just went to orientation yesterday and I woke up at 3 am with the worst food poisoning I’ve had in my life. I woke up at 3 am I’ve been throwing up every hour since. Did anyone else get food poisoning from the dining hall on 7/1 orientation or would it be from something else I may have had? I’m just trying to figure out what made me feel like this :( thank you guys

Tips for parking/off-campus parking

Hello :^) i'm an incoming transfer student for fall 26 and i'm getting crazy anxious after hearing about all the parking horror stories here. I'm an art student so i think most if not all of my classes are gonna be in the visual arts complex, are there any free/low cost parking options near there? i saw the nutwood parking structure is closest but i got away with not paying the $70 parking pass at my community college so i would really prefer not paying over $300 a semester just to not find parking or risk getting my car hit. I roller skate often so i don't mind parking somewhere like a 10 min walk away. Thanks in advance!

No Financial Aid Package or Account Balance Yet?

Like the title states, haven’t seen any financial aid packages for 2026/2027 or any account balances yet. Has anyone received any info yet?

Read a few posts that said late June we should see something but we’re now in July (albeit just one day in) and I still don’t see anything?

For reference, I’m a returning student from 2025/2026, haven’t missed a semester or anything.

Studying tips (needed 2026-2027)

Hello how would you say I should study for quizzes and exams during all semesters at cal state Fullerton to one day be able to transfer to a school like UC Berkeley or Harvard which require a gpa of 3.8 to be considered.

My GPA out of Fullerton College was a 3.55 GPA thanks to open book tests and being able to use the book. However if the tests start being closed book which are considered proctored by GPA will drop to a 3.0.

Also I would like help with tutoring if anyone can provide some tutoring that would be great as I’m disabled with ASD and ADHD.

New account balance. When do my student loans come in?

I accepted my student loans maybe early June. I have a new account balance to pay for this semester's classes. I mean, It's not due until the end of July, but I'm just a bit nervous. I enrolled in direct deposit so I'm assuming it will appear in my bank account?

I'm a transfer student for some more context.
