I run a pub trivia company in the Denver area. I’m looking for fun, high-energy people to host trivia nights!

Details:

  • Pay is $50 per game (~1.5 hours of hosting)
  • Free food & beer at most venues
  • Meet New People– you’ll host at the same location each week, so you can build relationships with your regulars
  • We provide all equipment – you just show up and run the show

If you like entertaining crowds, and this sounds like a fun side gig to you, click the link below!

Don’t Be Weird to Non-Traditional Students

As the semester starts, I’d like to ask a favor: Please Don’t Be Weird To Non-Traditional Students.

I’m a non-traditional student, I’m 24 and taking a reduced course load for health reasons. I’ve had lots of people be like “That’s so valid, everyone’s on their own path, etc.” But I’ve had quite a few people who find out that I’m older and get weird about me taking longer than my peers. Someone recently laughed and said “man, you’re gonna take like 10 years to do your degree!” It’s mostly been 18/19 year olds who think 24 is ancient, and it’s pathetic to still be an undergrad after 22. I was surprised how prevalent that attitude is here. They tend to feel bad when I explain my chronic illnesses, but what if you didn’t comment at all! That would be so cool. I already have baggage about it, thanks. Idk, maybe this is just my experience and it’s been smooth sailing for others. I hope that’s the case. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk!

Smelly Deli closed

Just grabbed lunch on the Hill and Smelly Deli has just up and vanished. I didn't see any kind of notice or anything last week when I was up there. Would be funny if Bova's moved in back up there.

I had a 2.8 gpa in high school and need help figuring out how to get accepted

After doing a bit of research i saw that the average high school gpa acceptance is 3.6 to 4.0 so I’m a good bit under. I did graduate a year early, passed 3 AP classes along with all of the tests, got a 1230 on the SAT, and have a very good teacher that can write me a letter of recommendation. I was also dealing with a lot of family issues while i was in school that led to me missing a number of days and my low gpa as a result. I was wondering if i included all of that in a very carefully written letter if i had a good chance at getting accepted. Thank you for any advice in advance

Want to be an engineer but don't wanna live in Will Ville

I really hope to go to CU Boulder and major in engineering but I don't want to live in will ville. Should I undeclare my major and then swap into engineering. My college essay talks about my interest for engineering so will it just be kinda dumb to want to undeclare my major?

Sorry if I'm asking this in an unclear way I'm exhausted from a long day and got no sleep

Friends as jr?

I am a 21 F looking for friends since I’ve been having a hard time finding my people. Thought this should be worth a shot and I also would be open to hearing methods to making friends in jr year!

Some things about me
- I like edm and pop the most (I do attend some raves and shows)
- not a shopaholic but I do enjoy window shopping a lot and thrifting
- I love going out to bars/parties
- I want to find people that are genuine and don’t have ulterior motives. Someone that genuinely wants to put effort into a friendship!
- I also enjoy coffee runs, night driving, wine nights, watching shows, going to get food, going to events, going to museums and sports games, study dates. Lots of stuff!

CU Denver Student

Hey guys so first off, I am a CU denver student and plan to commute to Denver for this semester however I live closer to Boulder. I know the social life at CU denver is pretty bad and I was just wondering if the clubs and events are for boulder students only? I wanted to attend Boulder but I could not afford it, so my only choice was CU denver until I can get a good GPA for more scholarships. I love the campus and social life there is at Boulder and want to be apart of it but I’m afraid that people are going to look at me weird if they knew I was a CU Denver student.

Student emergency grant

I just applied for the Fall semester and uploaded pictures of my rent, current bank balance, and request for money to apply for school materials. I'm a full pell-grant student and CU boulder grant (SAI is -1500) Just curious because I already received aid - would this affect emergency funding grant?

Has anybody else applied and heard good news back?

free/cheaper parking options around campus?

I'm commuting this year and digging around, the only suggestion I've found was 29th street mall's free garage being fair game but I'm wondering how often people get booted over there .. I really don't have the cash to get my car back if it gets towed. I'm going to be working late on campus so I'm kind of cooked if I'm up there without a ride back home

Axon is NOT an alternative to Flock

While Boulder considers which ALPR vendor to select for its unaccountable mass surveillance machine, it's worth pointing out the Flock isn't the only baddie on the list. If Boulder brings Axon tech further into its city infrastructure, that will involve the creation of a data dragnet that includes Ring camera footage + social media posts. And they're doing this all behind the scenes without any public process. https://boulderreportinglab.org/2026/08/11/olivia-mendoza-boulder-is-putting-mass-surveillance-technology-before-civil-liberties/
