I want to clarify the rules. Specifically on selling/wtb posts because I don't want any confusion.

You absolutely CAN NOT sell firearms, parts or accessories on this subreddit.

You can not link to a private sale. I.E. GAFS, Armslist ect.

You CAN post a link to a buinsess site. I.E. magpull.com, HB Industries ect.

I debated this one for awhile. I know it's rediculous that we would have to worry about being band from a link but hey, I'm just trying to make sure we stay open.

I purchased a nexus upper and bolt. The bolt does not shoot well at all with my gun. Its shooting about 1 out of every 5 tries, maybe a little worse. Very light primer strikes. However, if i drop my OEM bolt in the gun and it shoots flawlessly.

I sent my nexus bolt back to nexus and they stated it shot just fine in their gun and that my trigger was likely the culprit (i have the timney). I didnt really love this answer as the same timney trigger will shoot my OEM bolt just fine.

I got my bolt back on Monday and went to the range with my cousin who also has a nexus upper, nexus bolt and timney trigger (his setup runs fine and is basically a clone of my gun). Here is what we found:

1. My gun still does not shoot well at all with my nexus bolt. The ones it did fire had a lighter than normal primer strike on the empty casing. 
2. I then put my OEM scorpion trigger back in and it still was very finicky, no improvement at all with my nexus bolt. I wanted to try this as its a much heavier trigger.
3. I put the OEM bolt back in and shot 20 rounds perfectly with the OEM trigger and then 20 more with my timney trigger. 
4. I then put my cousins nexus bolt in my gun with my timney trigger and it shot 20 rounds perfectly. 
5. The final test, we put my nexus bolt in my cousins gun (again, he also has the nexus upper and the same timney trigger) and his gun shot my bolt fine, 20 times in a row.

So im kind of at a loss. My nexus bolt worked when nexus tested it and also works in my cousins gun, but will not work in my gun with the timney trigger OR the OEM trigger. I cant say the nexus bolt is 100% at fault because it works in other guns. I cant say my gun/trigger is 100% at fault because neither trigger pack shoots the nexus bolt and both trigger packs shoot the OEM bolt or my cousins nexus bolt.

I like the scorpion platform but was nervous of the OOB issues so wanted to invest in it rather than selling it. Now I have a $400 bolt that I cant make use of. I reached out again to Nexus on Tuesday but havent got a response back yet.

Big shout out to Nexus firearms, as soon as I emailed them about the issue, they sent me a new ejector and spring. Installed both and haven’t had a failure to eject since. Tested multiple magazines (both Mag pul and CZ brand) including drum mags. Even installed a new Timney trigger, which is amazing by the way, and everything worked flawlessly NOTE: I used their ejector and spring while keeping the OEM grub type screw.

Looking to make scorpion more fun. Have a L2 SS trigger on MP5K. Have binaries on 300BO and 556. Feel binary is fun but not as newer trigger configurations like SS and FRT.

What’s out there for my scorp? I have the nexus bolt kit so not worried about oob. TIA

Made a post the other day asking about getting some magpul evo mags (i have a nexus kuna lower on the way).

Couple yall were super helpful, even offering to go to their LGS and get mags to ship for me, so i wanted to pay it forward and yall know mags are back instock on magpuls website.

Got my receiver for a ground-up build. I have the ILWT 6.5in barrel, and I am looking for some torque specs for the Barrel Locking Block. It says the block should be bottomed out on the receiver so not quite sure why different barrels would have different torque settings.

Any other tips would bre appreciated, e.g. use/avoid Rocksett/Loctite, etc.

What are some HD rounds that y’all have had good experiences with on your Scorpion? My gun is not picky on range ammo but I would like to go do some practice with HD rounds just to make sure everything’s going smoothly. Curious to hear what has worked for everyone before I go get a few boxes.

I know these things are sold out across the board and im on about 10 email lists for notifications. But is there one site in particular that seems to restock more frequently? Only asking because I’m in a state with a pending AWB and trying to stock up while still legal.
