Indonesian apocalyptic dis-rockers BASTARDESTROYER are back to tear through eight tracks of crusty mayhem on their latest release “Resist Slaughter”, a brutal offering fitting for end times. Leaning into cleaner production, “Resist Slaughter” calls to mind the massive sound of forebears of the style WOLFBRIGADE and DISFEAR, with muscular riffs accompanying flashes of melodic guitar leads while a furious rhythm section holds everything together. Lead vocalist Shendi’s shredded vocals bemoan modern colonialism in a mix of desperation and outrage, perfectly matching the anger and intensity of the rest of the band. For a group that's been together for over 15 years, BASTARDESTROYER sound bigger than ever and show no signs of slowing down.
