I don't know what to get. I kind of want the extra costumes but at the same time I can get all the other games in the series for the same price.

Holy fuck I had forgotten how astronomically stupid the survivors were(Rant)

Holy fucking shit how did they even function before the zombie outbreak. They are genuinely dumber than the zombies. Escorting a group of three or larger is like watching an episode of The Three Stooges, but than would be an insult to the intellectual capacity of Moe, Larry, and Curly. Just get into the shortcut bathroom in an orderly manner, don’t get fucking stuck halfway in the hallway and shove stun a survivor who’s actually trying to get in. I breathe a sigh of relief whenever there’s a survivor that needs to be carried, because at least then I have control over their movement, and if something goes wrong, it’s my own fault.

I do not know how dumb 13 year old me from 15 years ago was able to pull off all survivor runs, and do the main story at the same time. Fucking fuck

Any tips on improving quest tracking?

I started playing the original Dead Rising today, and Im having a hard time figuring out where Im supposed to go. The map feels pretty unhelpful. Whenever I get a new quest, I have to stop, press tab, read through the quest description to work out the location, and then check the map separately to find where it is and how far away I am. Doing all of that while surrounded by zombies is getting frustrating. Am I missing a better way to track quests or navigate the mall?

I think I need a new strategy for DR2. So far not loving it compared to DR1.

I got DR1 Remaster on PS5 recently and freaking loved this game. So much so that after completing the story I went out and bought DR2 on the PS4. I am struggling big time. There is no autosave and save points are far and few between. The time restrictions for the main story line are way to tight in my opinion and I find myself rushing everywhere. I think I need a new strategy because my frustration level is pretty high at this point. Should I spend time rescuing survivors and other tasks to increase my levels first? Boss battles are nearly impossible for me to win as well at my current level. Any suggestions would be welcome and appreciated from all you veterans.

These cutscenes still freak me out to this day

The entire scenes leading up to Jessie turning are just so creepy to me. No real jumpscares, just dread. Hearing that the government is covering everything up, the background ambience, and the fact that all these scenes happen as you are heading back TO the security room where they are taking place. Everything just seems so hopeless during these scenes despite knowing that the helicopter was still coming to save you.

Game got hard all of a sudden

I’m playing coop with a buddy and we are close to the end of the game. We gave the girl the last shot and the zombies mutated and got very strong. We have trouble staying alive and avoiding them. Is it best to just die and restart the story from scratch with a stronger character?

Dead Rising 2 is my favorite video game. Is this a valid take, or am I being dumb lol?

After my first play through in March of 2025, I just found this to be my favorite game ever, even above works of art such as Detroit Become Human, for whatever reason, Dead Rising 2 continues to be one of the most creative, atmospheric, and fun games I have ever played in my life ever

I still absolutely love it when it’s all quiet around the mall near the end of the game after the military wipes out all the zombies.

It’s the only time and ONLY Dead Rising game that has done this! Since Dead Rising 2 had a botched rescue and Dead Rising 3 where they were just gonna nuke the city.

Anyone completed Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster?

Specifically asking for the Saint achievement. Would the Real Mega Buster gun help or hinder in this achievement? I’ve read that it will down a psychopath in 2-5 shots which sounds like it would be beneficial in escorting the 50 survivors for the achievement, but also that it can easily kill survivors too.

Edit: this achievement has plagued me for years lol
