Usenet benchmarks

TL;DR

Yesterday: AltMount was fastest, zurg was the only one that could repair a broken release. Today zurg is fastest AND still the only one that repairs. One day, 35 commits, all seven of yesterday's zurg defects fixed.

  • zurg wins throughput (43 MB/s), press-play latency (0.14 s to first byte), scrubbing (0.31 s), warm re-reads (0.05 s), and ffprobe (1.55 s). CPU cost is now tied with AltMount. Zero failed reads.
  • AltMount still kills the first long read after a restart about half the time (3 of 6 tonight). Your first play after a reboot is a coin flip.
  • decypharr is still the smallest by far: 53 MB of RAM. That is the one number zurg does not beat.
  • InfiniDysk and nzbdav-dev did not change. The fork still beats the original everywhere.

Every number below was re-measured tonight in one interleaved run, all five servers, rotating order. Not recycled from yesterday.

Downloads finishing 100% on Real-Debrid but stuck at 0% in Decypharr/Radarr, then completely disappearing. Any ideas?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been running a media server on CasaOS (Docker) for about 3 weeks now. My setup is Radarr/Sonarr + Zurg & Rclone + Decypharr (also tried RDT-Client). Everything was working like a charm until this weird issue started happening completely out of nowhere.

Basically, here's what happens:
1. I request a movie in Radarr.

2. It successfully goes through Decypharr and starts downloading on Real-Debrid.

3. The file reaches 100% on RD and completes successfully.

4. BUT, back in Decypharr and Radarr, the progress just sits at 0%.

5. After hanging there for a while, the download just vanishes from both queues entirely.

Meanwhile, the file is sitting perfectly fine in my RD cloud!

I haven't touched or changed any of my volume/ remote path mappings since day one. I tried restarting the Zurg container, but no luck (haven't tried restarting rclone just yet).

It honestly feels like Decypharr/Radarr just suddenly went "blind" and can't see the completed files inside the Zurg mount anymore, so it eventually times out and drops the queue.

Has anyone dealt with this recently? Could it be a Zurg cache issue, a dropped Rclone mount, or maybe Decypharr bugging out due to RD rate limits? It's driving me crazy.
Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Usenet, how to use?

When I searched a file, DMM couldn't find. But I clicked Usenet on that search result page and the file I was looking for was listed there. At the end of that filename was "send" button, I clicked it. What then?

Any idea why this happens?

Hey everyone! Trying to decide between Real-Debrid, AllDebrid, and TorBox right now.

Hey everyone, I'm trying to decide which debrid service to stick with, but I keep seeing mixed opinions about Real-Debrid, AllDebrid, and TorBox.

I wanted to check in with the community and see how they stack up against each other right now in terms of:

  • Cache size & availability (especially for niche or older content)
  • Streaming speed & buffering
  • IP restrictions / Sharing policies

Which one are you currently using, and why do you think it's the best option right now? Thanks!

How will the TB -> RD feature change things?

As the title says, how will this feature affect the greater of real debrid and other debrid services? Do you guys think that with enough people, we can repopulate real debrid and make it viable again?

Link webdownloads in torbox

Some movies of my country aren't in torrent, but they can be directly downloaded to torbox. Is there any way to associate them in DMM as torrents does?
