A Day in the Life

Am I hallucinating?

Did deerhunter or Atlas sound or Bradford Cox cover this song by The Beatles?

Please much thanks

is... this a new photo of Bradford & Lockett?

trying to temper my excitement about the news, be reasonable and all, but i don't recognize this photo at all and it seems neither does reverse image search -- am i crazy? did i miss something? is hope finally allowed in my heart again?

i already thought getting nothing but new songs at Making Time ∞ was a silly dream, if this is leading to something i don't know if i'd be able to take it reasonably

Happy birthday Lockett !

I'm very, very happy to know that he's going to play with Bradford in 2027. I didn't except that at all, honestly.

I'm a big fan of his solo project Lotus Plaza, I wish we'll more new music in the future, he's a great songwriter and musician.

Twilight At Carbon Lake (the photo and the story)

Found this while rummaging through the archives.
This was from the band's now defunct blog.

Setlist predictions for Big Ears 2027?

I am hopeful that they play some new collaborative material, that'd be awesome!! It'd also be cool seeing some stripped back versions of some Deerhunter stuff, I feel like a dual acoustic version of T.H.M could work really well!

What do you all hope/predict to see next year?

On Platts Eyott Island

Listened to this for the first time on YouTube yesterday:- https://youtu.be/Uor8pX5aAzo?is=8V_-h3inpzTkAQQy

It's really interesting! I think only available on cassette during the time of Microcastle's release. I think this freak folk style really suits them and I think I prefer this version of Never Stop!

Haven't seen much discussion on this release. What do people think of it? Who owns the cassette?

in honor of the Bradford/Lockett comeback, here’s the latest DH interview from Nov 2019 with Lockett

A while back I said I’d share some of the more obscure interviews/articles I’d found (I’ve compiled 160, basically all of them) but never got around to it. Finally posting this now that there’s hope this won’t be the last ever Deerhunter interview. It’s not super insightful or anything but I’m glad to hear Lockett’s perspective. Fingers crossed for new music in whatever form!! ❤️
