I never was very interested in "the Path", but now they are selling a guardian bomber jacket I really want xd

I just flipped the switch on Burnie. I built this side project because I constantly find myself getting sunburned, and after seeing skin cancer impact my own family, I wanted to stop guessing with sun safety. I wanted to build something straightforward that provides actual scientific guidance based on live UV data.

The app checks your local UV index, maps it against your skin profile using the scientific Monk Scale, and runs a real-time protection countdown the moment you log your sunscreen application.

Behind the scenes on how the math works:
The countdown isn't just a simple, linear timer. It uses a fine-tuned calculation that assumes your sunscreen degrades dynamically over time based on actual UV exposure levels. I also built in a conservative safety margin to automatically account for natural wear and tear from clothes, sweating, or moving around.

A few intentional choices I made while building it:

* Privacy First: It is built natively on iOS 17 with SwiftData. Absolutely everything stays entirely local on your device. There is no user registration, no data collection, and no ad networks. It doesn't track your location; it merely uses your current coordinates locally to fetch the exact UV data.
* Clean UI: I deliberately avoided scary medical charts or fear-based warnings. Instead, it uses a clean Bento-grid layout with an ambient background that shows your current shield status at a quick glance.
* Smart Nudges: It sends lightweight local notifications exactly when your calculated protection layer degrades under your current local UV conditions.

The app is completely free to download. I am just trying to get the name out there right now and grab some real-world feedback from fellow builders.

Soo, we were supposed to go camping in the sanctuary this year. First time there. We rented a tipi for 7 people but I see now on this subreddit that people don’t have positive things to say about the sanctuary. Ofc people have been there over the years and they changed some things here and there.

What was your opinion last time you went there? We’re talking quietness during the night, facilities, distance to the festival grounds, etc.

Hello all,

This year was supposed to be my first, but it didn't show out and I went with Luminosity instead. I have done Luminosity the past 5 years and knowing every year I have more experience, but 2027 will finally be my first dq.1, I have a small group and it's been something I wanted for over 10 years.

I have a rental home in Elburg, any other tips from the veterans that I should know to make this trip go smoothly? We plan to get there with bicycle daily.

Is it just me, or does the Defqon.1 closing ceremony feel much darker this year?

​I was watching the endshow and noticed that the overall picture seems less illuminated compared to previous editions. Yeah sure there are no smartphone lights and so but in my perception the stage itself was darker.

Don't get me wrong it looked insane! One of the best ones yet i would say.

But I was wondering if this could be due to factors like less or no security lights, beer tens and so on.

I mean normally it is really easy to see the stage even if there are no fireworks and lasers on.

I am looking at where to stay next year (before options become available in October) and just wanted to know about the more expensive options on Sanctuary. this year we had The Who, it was fine but as we had all our luggage for a week away, room was tight

I have currently reserved a beach house at Europarks Bad Hoophuizen. i understand there is a shuttle to and from but obviously this takes us away from Defqon and means we cant go back and forth to the tent/cabin if we need a break

This was my first time going to defqon.1 and a hardstyle festival also , unfortunately 🥲. Im desperate af to go to defqon.1 2027 , but I dont know if my schedule can allow me to go. What is the best option in this case, to keep the ticket and sell it later if i cant go or get a refund and buy it later if i can go. From what i see , most people will keep their ticket, so the tickets will probably sell out very fast, but another thought is that defqon didn't sell out until June this year therefore there will be for sure many tickets left. What do u think?
