Hey all, I hope this packing list serves as a good reference for people who like me who are first time attendees and are stressed about what to pack. For context, I have The Queen tent in The Highlands which already includes a tent, air mattress, sleeping bag, and access to power stations. I am from the USA as well. I will be there for the full 4 days and plan on going as hard as possible. Defqon1 Veterans please drop advice if I've missed anything or if anything is unnecessary.

Camping

• Camping chair
• String lights + tape (for night)
• Pillow
• 2 Blankets (cold at night)
• Sleeping mask + sleeping ear plugs
• Lock
• Water container/reservoir 
• Multiple power banks (~3)
• EU outlet adapter
• Chargers for all electronics
• Neck fan

Personal Hygiene

• Toothbrush +Toothpaste
• Face wash+ Face scrubber
• Body scrubber 
• Soap/Shampoo
• Deodorant
• Wet wipes
• Band-Aids, Blister patches

• Rely mostly on Defqon marketplace for fresh fruits/hot food

• Energy/Protein Bars
• Instant ramen (use on-site hot water station)
• Multivitamin/Fish oil
• Energy drinks (4.5L limit)
• General snacks (nuts, chips, cookies, etc.)

Clothes/Footwear

• Tank tops
• Gym shorts
• Sweater, Sweatpants, bed socks for night 
• Lots of spare socks and underwear
• Spare tennis shoes
• Dirty laundry bag/trash bag

Festival

• Small crossbody bag
• Sunglasses
• Hat
• Collapsible water bottle

Due to strikes, on Wednesday June 24th there will be no early morning public transport in NL. Wednesday June 24th only, trains and busses etc will go on schedule from 8 AM (Amsterdam time) onwards.

I’m going to get a tattoo on Defqon 1 as a birthday present, can some have this experience on the festival that want to share some Experience for me, my wish is to have the Guardian Tattoo on my Shin.

Servus! My wife and I will attend our first defqon.1 in 2026 (our first festival in general) and because we are German we have to be prepared! These are more specific questions that seemingly never get asked!

!! this will be a long one !!

Jokes aside, we have a pyramid tent on the highlands, priority parking and we are obviously going to attend all 4 days. So here are our questions - :)

-at what time should we arrive to have a chill start? The gathering On Thursday is at 6 pm.

-how far do we have to walk, even just in general. From the blue to the highlands or the red or what have you. What can we expect?

-is it fine that we are "unfit" and a little heavy set? We always see the fittest people (I get it, most people listen to it during their workouts)

-how much money should we expect to pay for foods and drinks on the festival itself

-what happens when the show is over? Do you have to run back to the tents? Will you get kicked out of the festival site by security? How long can you linger after 11 pm (I think it said that the festival closes) and how do you get to the shows at night? Is there a seperat entrance?

-what is the sound like? It differs from stage to stage i know but what is it like with earplugs? We both have the alpine tune ones. Does it sound bad? Does it sound like you are wearing headphones? Is it still enjoyable?

-lastly... We both have social anxiety 😅 we loosely started following defqon in 2011, I still remember hearing unite for the first time and seeing people having fun infront of that giant throne. We were scared from the beginning because we aren't extremely attractive or outgoing, will that be a problem? I like to think that we are nice people, just not that extroverted.

This year returning for a full weekend experience. Was wondering how good was the supermarket last year and if it will be there this year? A couple questions below:

1. Can you buy beer/wine there all 4 days or is the stock limited?
2. What about food assortment? Anything healthier? How about stock levels?
3. Pricing? What is the % on top of typical market price. 20%? 30%?
4. Would you say it is a viable option to buy all your groceries/alcohol there entire weekend for the sake of pure convenience? (previous editions my food would get messed up in hot tents, therefore carrying it all and then watching it rot was always annoying, hoping supermarket can help me resolve these issues).

First time rave and attending internationaly to Defqon, weekend ticket Thursday till Sunday, bought the pickup tent addon.

I have a few question, appreciate your help.

Qdance didn’t ship the bracelet it said ill have to pick it up along with the tent, how would that work do i just receive everything from the entrance?

If i wanted to leave defqon temporarily to go back to my hotel in amsterdam for a couple of hours then come back how would i do that and how much would it cost?

Roughly how much does food cost? To estimate how much i’ll charge the bracelet.

Which stage do i focus most on i know red is the main one but whats the biggewt indoor rave? Like qlimax.

Hey everyone, first time getting to Defqon and I had some questions!!
With friends we wanted to rent some electric bikes but tbh I’m very anxious if there is any bicycle parking lot? And if you think it’s quite safe anyway bc we are are a bit far and we’re not very motivated to get a mechanical one haha

Is it true that the sound system at Defqon.1 Weekend Festival is insanely powerful? And is it stronger than at festivals like Ultra Music Festival or Tomorrowland?

I’m wondering why Defqon.1 Weekend Festival, which takes place in a field about 100 km from Amsterdam, starts in the late morning and ends around normal nighttime hours.

Since the festival is held in a relatively remote area, I assume there are very few houses and not many people living nearby.

My question is: why doesn’t the festival run from around 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM instead?

That schedule seems like it would make more sense because:

• the temperatures are lower in the evening and at night,
• it would be much more comfortable for attendees,
• there would be less risk of heat exhaustion or sun exposure,
• and people would still leave at sunrise.

Considering that Defqon.1 takes place at the end of June, when temperatures can be quite high, a later schedule seems more practical.

I would completely understand if the festival were located in the center of a city and had to end around 11:00 PM to avoid disturbing nearby residents and to comply with noise regulations.

But since the event is held in a remote location, I’m curious why the organizers choose to run it during the hottest part of the day instead of shifting the main program to the evening and overnight hours.

This will be my first year attending Defqon.1 and I couldn't be more excited. I'll be bringing my own tent for the campsite. I'm already planning to bring a couple of power banks to keep my phone alive, but I want to be prepared just in case they run out.
Are there any designated charging stations, lockers with plugs, or specific spots around the campsite where we can charge our phones?

So unfortunately we can’t travel to defqon anymore but what do I do with our tickets?
We have 4 travel and stay in a pyramid tent
Is it too late to sell? Wtf do I do? 😅
