21M in Dehradun for 2 days (16–18 Aug) near Astley Hall, looking to meet people & get suggestions

Hey everyone,

I’m 21M and this is my first time in Dehradun. I’m here from the 16th (day + night), 17th (day + night), and 18th (day only). Staying near Astley Hall.

I’ve been through some shit lately and would love a fresh view of things. Unfortunately or fortunately I don’t drink, so I can’t drown myself in that to get out of this phase. Just looking to meet new people, experience the place properly, and have some genuine conversations.

Might be a bit busy during the days but free most evenings/nights and open to spontaneous plans.

Would love any suggestions on:

Good places to hang out / walk around near Astley Hall or nearby

Cafes, viewpoints, or chill spots worth visiting

Anyone up for a walk, coffee, or just showing a first-timer around

Not looking for anything specific, just genuine company and good vibes. Drop a comment or DM if you’re free or have recommendations

Thanks!

Hey everyone, I’m currently in Dehradun and looking to buy alcohol legally. Does anyone know a reliable liquor store nearby, preferably one that has a good selection?

(23-F) UPDATE Senior Conceirge Services in Doon! Please HELP!!!

People had suggested to me that I should approach RWAs and Elite societies.

  1. However, I'm facing challenges as the access is heavily restricted there.

  2. Then I thought of visiting the local Temples around these societies but everything is in such a rush, I don't know how to grab their attention.

Then again, there's the issue of parents not willing to spend anything on themselves and their Children being abroad.. Also I have made it available for specially abled persons though I don't know how to approach.

  1. I have Integrated my Premium Tiffin Business into the same so that if not groceries, we could also supply them with cooked for a little extra cost, thus reducing their hassles.

  2. And a Monthly Property Health Report sent to their Kids.

  3. ALSO Making it available for anyone who doesn't have time for these menial tasks that take-up the whole day and requires a Virtual Pvt Assistan with his/her bookings/cancellations/orders etc.

The basic service should be 11k a month (Kinda like A Vitual+Physical assistant) and premium should be around 35-40k (food, groceries, toiletries, etc. included) for 2 people apart from Concierge.

IF Anyone has any idea or experience with this or just a strategy as well, Kindly Help a fellow community member.

My cousin has been great in helping me with the conception of this idea and everything but I'm finding the initial start to be difficult.

Would digital advertising help in this regard or not? Could someone guide me on this?

😂😂😂the context is self explanatory

I lowkey don’t know whether it’s desperation or frustration or most Indian teen / early adult men just don’t know to where or how to deal with their own high sex drives in the current economy and not to mention Indian society.
Sex-education needs to be a very important thing and in lime light ,, for overall public health and low crime rates because what drives reproduction drives everything :)

Best way to get from Dehradun Airport to the city?

Hey, I’m travelling from Mumbai to Dehradun this Tuesday and wanted to know the best way to get from Jolly Grant Airport to the city.

I’m travelling solo, so preferably looking for some public transport / shared cab option instead of booking a full cab. Are there buses or shared taxis available from the airport? And roughly how much do they cost?

Any recent experience would be helpful. Thanks!
