Hello Demon Soul Fans! I recently got the game and lemme say, im enjoying it more than Sekiro already.
Anyway, not the point, the point is I'm running a Dex-Faith build and was wondering if the Scraping Spear was good. I've heard of it, heard it was good in PVP and was wondering how viable in endgame it was.
I'll also take cool Miracles and Dex Weapon suggestions.
Just finished ds2 and ds1 and I used murakumo in both games. This is my first time playing demon souls remake and I wanna know if theres any greatswords with a similar moveset to it?(also if someone could explain how stats work here that would be appreciated aswell)
Looking to replay Demon’s Souls, but I have a couple of questions:
Are boss weapons and other special weapons actually viable? On my first playthrough, I used the Moonlight Greatsword and had it fully upgraded, but it always felt really weak. I’m wondering if that’s just because the weapon isn’t very good, or if my build wasn’t optimized for it. Since these weapons can only be upgraded a few times, do they end up falling behind regular weapons?
Is it even worth making a dedicated build in this game? I remember hearing that builds aren’t nearly as important in Demon’s Souls as they are in the other Souls games. Should I focus on leveling for a specific build, or is it better to just upgrade a few weapons using whichever damage-type upgrade materials fit them?
Am trying to not read guides and discover the game as I play. I knew there was a key on top of first tower in latria but needed pure white? To get some planks.
And to get pw i needed to kill bosses so after i kill maneater mindflyer killed me going ivoey tower up.
Then after kill monk mindflyer killed me goimg down.
So i think i went back to neitral as i died 2 times as human...
How can i fix white tendency in latria to get that key?

Hey, sorry if this is a stupid question...but I just started the game with the temple knight and I dont know if I need to upgrade the intelligence stat. I know its for magic and not miracles but it also gives me PH. Dont I need PH to use the miracles too?
Right now I can only use the firts miracle once and I guess the stronger miracles are going to need more PH...?

Is there a way to obtain them faster, it’s kind of a hassle to get
... and by that I don't mean the difficulty of the boss fight itself, but the FPS drops are so severe that it's hard to keep up with Flamerurker's attacks. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my PS3 slim?
Maybe I just don't undertand these fights. I beat all other FromSoft games (except the DeS remake) and I have never had so may issues with boss fights.

I'm sorry if that sounds like a total noob question, but coming straight from completing Bloodborne, Demon's Souls feels very underwhelming in terms of character development. I can barely get any souls from normal enemies to level up and bosses are, well... by nature, limited.
Another question - why do I respawn next to the previous archstone? Shouldn't I respawn next to the one I came "from"?

So I played the original as a kid constantly on repeat, really found the love of my gaming life so here I am like what, about 16 years later? Playing the remake and omg.
I imagined it to be a coat of paint but it’s literally like a new game in the coding sense.
I want to share this feeling with you guys to see if other experience it. I just finished 1-1 and I have genuine fear when playing the game 😂 I have this obscure fear that has rarely been triggered in my life which is like huge monsters with loud noises filling up huge empty spaces and every time I see those dragons and they’re flying around or above me and screeching, I’m literally terrified 🤣 I’m ducking in real life, my heart is sinking, I’m shutting my eyes when they appear on screen and this is not how I’d imagine to play a souls game 🤣 I’m excited for more horrors later in the game like the giant mantis which is gonna terrify me or hopefully the valley of defilement is genuinely scary. Latria has the creepy vibe and I’m excited with fear!
Anyone else experiencing it as a horror game or just me? 🤣
